I didn't actually realise until the end of my exploration that I could have just swum along the surface, avoiding everything, rather than doing endless corpse runs and breath refills.

Try it out. It's so fast, you can out run mobs
Having a sea turtle turns Vash'jir into a wonderful place to explore =]

It does not, there are scattered breathing vents underwater though, and you get like 3 mins now, or like 9 as UD

I've healed through the fatigue damage before =o
Both Hydrocane and Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole among many other things allow water breathing so you would never have to come up for air! You guys would never see me, I <3 Vash'jir.
