Hi all.

My account have been suspended for a while now, and I still don't know why, and I have sent tons of mails to Blizzard, asking why im suspended and when the suspension will be canceled.

I have sent all those mail from my main Hotmail adress.

Then yesterday, I recieved a mail, to another mail adress, wich I have never used for anything regarding WoW.

This mail was sent from wowaccountadmin (wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com)

I have NEVER tried to sell my account, and I never anything close to it.

I don't know if this was real, or a scam mail. I have never contacted blizzard with this mail, and I have never used this adress that wpwaccountadmin sent this mail to, to anything regarding WoW.

Could you please tell me if you know anything about this.

Thanks.

Its a scam. Blizzard will NEVER ask for personal information of this sort.

I assume you have used this email address for another wow related reason, buying gold or w/e - its how they know who to contact.

If in any doubt phone blizzard (dunno any number but the forums or mainsite will provide one) they will sort the issue.

See World of Warcraft (en) Forums -> Blizzard email or scam email? for more information on false emails.

GL sorting this out

Thanks alot. I did see this coming, so I didn't give them any informations, just told them to verify that it was blizzard and not a scammer :)

dumb people are dumb

/facepalm

Its a scam.

Blizzard already knows all your info.

Call Blizzard up by phone (Billing Department).

To verifiy the account you will need your:

Battle.net account e-mail OR Account name

secret question answer OR first 6 digits of your Orginal WoW CDs

and last 4 digits of the current/latest used credit card.

it's not always being dumb, sometimes it's just ignorance

no excuse for the ignorance when blizzard says all over the place they will never ask for personal info. not to mention ive seen at least 2 of these threads before. no, at this point it's stupidity not ignorance.

You know what, it never hurts to ask.

yes, yes it does. when you ask dumb questions be prepared to be thought of as dumb. this isnt 1st grade anymore where there is "no stupid question"

well let's view this from an ignorant stance:

you see ppl are havin fun playing WoW, u get it. you install it, yada yada just hit OK when you see it whatever. terms and conditions whatever just scroll down and hit I Agree. play WoW for a few years and get e-mail from blizz saying they need ur info. ok sure let's do it they need it o look im haxed wtf?

plus when you add the fact many people aren't really great with technology and up to date with all the internet stuff like some other fortunate people, meh... i can see it being ignorance and not being stupid

the 1st scenario is ignorance through and through - especially after years.

the 2nd scenario is ignorance....but in 2009 it kinda carries over to stupidity if you cant work a fucking computer and comprehend reading text. especially if you are a wow player.

lol, sorry that i asked!

I did find it very strange that 'Blizz' asked for my personal info's.

Thats why i didn't sent anything back.

I just wanted to be sure!!

fgs...

You know, some of my best college professors still use that line. Maybe they should be teaching in first grade.

But you know someone out there besides the OP is going to find an answer in this post. I guarantee that.

terrible professors imo. none of mine use it. there certainly is such a thing as a stupid question...just wait till you go out into the world and look like a retarded jackass by asking dumb questions instead of doing some research (or in this case opening your fucking eyes & reading that blizz wont even ask for that shit). people have no time for idiots.

i would be sickened that other people could be so dumb but gratz to them if someone else finds this thread useful....not that this is the 1st thread of its kind, which just shows the OP is even stupider/lazier that he didnt check any other threads/places on line 1st.

Research and learn to use a computer. You're a moron if you have to ask about fake emails and such. If you just started playing you should have your loading screen tips on, one of which says "Blizzard will never ask you for your account information." There is a stupid question, this is one of them.
