Rumors of Gear Like Invasion’s In 8.1?

Whether this is true or not I think it would be cool. From multiple twinks that I can reasonably rely on have all 3 said very similar things when I asked. There is going to be some sort of war between alliance and horde. Similar to invasions but fighting the opposite faction. Unfortunately if this is true I have a feeling it might only be available for 120’s.

How would you guys feel about this? Would you like it or do you think it would take away from the value of invasion gear? Even though invasion gear isn’t as BiS anymore especially at 30-39 it is still un-obtainable.

How do you think blizzard would execute this? I’m pretty interested and have a few ideas. Such as maybe the alliance invades Kalimdor as it is primarily horde territory. I have a feeling if it does happen it will happen it would happen in Kul’Tiras and Drazalor.

Anyway I would like to hear what other people think about this and whether you think it could happen in the future.

Similar to Legion invasions, these faction incursions are available to characters under Level 120, so long the player has unlocked the content on their account, making them a viable way to level alts.

I heard about this but will it only be in the 120 zones? Meaning we would have to get a port there? That is more what I was wondering. Is there a list of gear we like invasions? Can it warforge like invasion? I know we don’t know those questions yet but that is why I am curious to hear peoples thoughts.

There’s also a possibility there will be a few bugs with it as it is a new thing in a new zone. Where a 120 could port a twink there and find a way to get the gear. Maybe something similar to like how as a rogue you need a port to WoD to get that 100 ilvl mask. Maybe people could set up some groups and test it out? See if there is a temporary way around it?

I really hope there's never any time gated random drop events like invasions ever again. I grinded out 7/8 titanforged on my priest without the aid of scripts and that was probably the most burnout I've ever felt playing this game. It's especially depressing that now only the chest is bis for priest.

I would hope Blizzard doesn't release another time gated drop event, although I fully support others being able to be on par with previous Legion gear. For plate it will especially be helpful since i44 greens are non existent.

Were you able to do legion invasion quests on the broken isles below 98? Im pretty sure the "invasions" they're talking about in the blizz post are the zone invasions on the broken isles, not the legion prepatch where anyone could participate.

I thought there was darkshore too tho? Is there not? What was that malfurion cinematic all about?

Hardly anything to exploit beside trading buged scaled items which seems to be fixed.
Incursion reward relies on world quests completion. there are no afk boxes.

Frankly i don't think in near future (if ever) they will do same afk boxes/experience system.
They clearly didn't like all the afk leveling.

No I understand but I am saying blizz has been fucking up a lot lately and curious to see if people can figure out bugs with the new invasions. I doubt it but I didn’t say that we 100% could.

ofc i would do them.
ofc i would exploit it.
i would even if i hated it to the bone because that is what is all about - an eternal suffering.

Would i use it over old style gear or pre expac gear? prob not in near future. unless we talking about rings/trinkets.

It was so bad. It's prooobably healthier that the gear isn't great now, but it def doesn't feel great. I'm glad I mogged my set to chosen dead, at least it didn't end up a total waste.

There's a whole lot of "if" and "wouldn't it be cool" involved in this.

Twinks couldn't port and participate in the pre BFA events that were level locked. And those were on vanilla continents. You're not gonna be able to do these either.

We already concluded that we wouldn’t be able to as it says 110 in the wow head thing. It’s theory craft not actual.

Looks like the invasions are 110-120 only.

There is a new flask that gives +10 to all stats and +10% xp. Looks to be obtainable from the new Warfront. Requires 10 currency and Warfront completion awards 15 currency plus an extra 1 currency for each daily quest. Not likely to be something you can use every BG but could be nice to stockpile a few as they do persist through death.
