Rogue Rotation/Skills/Questions?...

Hey, what is the main skill(s) used to pump out the most damage as a Sub Rogue? I'm an avid mouse turner, so would it be Backstab? I've noticed that if you phase through a player while using Backstab, it hits the target.



According to Curley's guide, the BiS for Rogues are dual Shadowfang, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having talents specifically for daggers/skills as Sub? (Waylay / Improved Ambush)



One more thing, what is the current BiS for daggers? There's Impish Blade for the MH, but several to choose for the OH. Correct me if I'm wrong but I was thinking Scout's Blade because of the faster speed over Stillwater's Dagger.
 
Ok remember when u use a dagger your white hit is trash and ur specials will hit less such as evis. Remember a rogue should have utility backstab is a huge energy consumer how can u possibly be able to focus kick and gouge off CD? and BIS dagger is Impish btw. Believe it or not a sword is better for ambushing because of the white hit followed by the ambush.

Hmm well said. I didn't take into account that Backstab costs 60 energy =/...

I myself am not sure but I wouldnt be surprise if you were right, curley just keeps proving over and over that he's clueless, guess he didnt ask Rivfader about this one before posting... #1 rogue, yeah lmfao

Gearwise he is, but there are plenty of BiS rogues. Iv never seen him 1v1 another BiS rogue but I do know hes good.

could just swap to dagger and ambush and swap back to shadowfang but thats just me

Weapon swapping resets your swing timer so you would have to wait 2.7 secs to get a white hit from MH and 3.2 secs to get one from OH. Your net burst would still be less. I think that curley was referring to SF having more AP on it than any daggers so it causes your evisc to hit harder.

When you said as soon as you use a dagger (which always has a lower top end), the evis dmg goes down...
