i would say it’s the nature of humans rather than this website. it’s the same reason people are drawn to bad news over good news; at an instinctual level we know that bad news will contain more useful information for survival.

another argument is mathematical. positive responses to positive posts quickly become redundant. when everyone is in agreement there is little to discuss.
