RIP Runeblade

This sword clearly deserves its own thread due to how unique it is and how much fun it has provided to those who have been using it. It is not worth it to weapon switch to runeblade for the on-demand sprint anymore.

Honestly, I'd say changing runeblade to work like that is better.
It's worse on it's own, but on the other hand: it now stacks properly with speed tertiary-builds.

it stacked better before, this is a pure nerf guys, no upside.

Glance is right here guys.

this is a hard nerf.

while you may not feel a large difference if you don’t have other speed tert pieces, the diminishing returns impact of having other speed terts is considerable.

Am worried about other old enchants like minor speed being modified to give speed stat instead of flat speed increase.

Fixed %s have always been better by far. This is a hard nerf.

It stacks with speed builds worse now.

LOL BLIZZARD FIX YOUR DAMN ENDGAME FIRST

Baffles me why they sift back to old classic content to nerf old items when they can use that 5 minutes to delete conduit energy and make covenant abilities available to everyone

While yes I agree with you, to be fair... gear from 10+ years ago that still has relevance in some capacity at end game should be fixed. It's not like they're fixing it because of twinks.

Shoulda just brought back 10% ms on boots enchants to end game, shoulda never stopped adding them tbh. Come to think of it couldnt you just put ms on boots anyway? pretty sure riv blade doesnt stack with it anyway so why bother with the sword? what other boot enchants are even worth using?

It's understandable, but it's not how I'd like it.

WoW already suffers from having too much similar items and there is only a handful of gear with interesting effects.

This is not a surprise nerf, since some time on last patch the Speed effect was changed to require Level 49 or lower. The change was reversed, but a point was made.

Overall, I consider this a nerf not just since the overall speed increase was reduced, but because it also interacts with a Tertiary stat now (and those quickly loses their value per point due to inflation).

And now Zack will suffer extra 50 seconds farming the sword in Mogu'Shan Vaults runs at the cost of people actually using the Rune Blade in PVP. neat.
