That might explain what @Winterly was experiencing yesterday or the day before.

There is only a small handfuls of 110 npc after the first boss. The way I see it, it gives a better chance for more cool loot.

I hope it's just a World Quest messing with the NPC's. It's very annoying imo.

I heard they only show up during that specific dungeon WQ.

I helped a friend of mine complete the world quest and killed all 5 of these elites that are spawned. 2 on each side and 1 towards the end near the final drummer. An amazing thing happened, NPC's cleared all the mobs close to the 2nd boss. So yeah that was fun to witness.
