Hello
Im quite new to f2p, and im playing on a hunter, since RoP is BiS i would like to know some things about it :)

What's the best method of farming it?

Is it extremeley rare?

Thanks for reading :)

Oh oki c:
Should i clear the whole dungeon then?

ROP is BIS for glasscannon hunter, it's a debatable thing for balanced hunter, while argas is BIS for all, for balanced hunter Ello's Band or Legionaire is better cause of stamina.

As for ROP farming... As far as I know it's a zone drop from BFD, there is no real strategy in farming it, just run BFD many many times. In case you want to farm it solo I suggest to kill all mobs before turtle boss and around it, since they're either neutral (beasts) or wandering alone or in two.

Thanks to medo for sharing the tactic.

Park your F2P across the first pool of water, next to the wall. Use a high level character and pull up to kelris (skipping murloc boss) then run back into murloc boss room, kill everything there and loot. Use auto unstuck and then repeat.

Shadow Priest and Feral Druids are recommended for boosting since they have faerie fire/mind flay which takes aggro but doesn't do any damage.

destroy hearthstone before using char unstuck!

usefull macros:
unstuck char: /click HelpFrameCharacterStuckStuck
reset dungeon: /script ResetInstances();

i prefer using a feral drood for boosting, with glyph of aquatic form, faerie fire
you can pull mobs with faerie fire in cat form, taunt in bear form, and typhoon
blood dk is also ok, can pull mobs with taunt and deathgrip

hope that helps!

Indeed, as Goesid said, thats the best tactic to farm RoP or whatever blue you need. But even so, RNG might break you. I needed over 300 runs for Doomspike.

Roll a panda Agility user that is a high level and he will have the Dropchance Doubled. :3 !

The story of how my rogue got her Ring of Precision:

Back in early Mist of Pandoria, Bendandcough was doing a lot of BFD runs — farming Axe of the Enforcer and Grimclaw for his new monk. It came to a point where it was obvious he had gone mad. I told him that he was flying too high to the sun, and that I would have no part in enabling his self-destruction. So usually Feet went along on the runs with her rogue because she really wanted RoP, and I still needed Demon Bands for my prot pally anyway.

One night, Feet was tired or something, so on a lark I went along on my rogue, who was at the time named Balls, on a set of five runs. I'm not sure if I ever did finish the runs, because all I remember of that night after that was staring at my character panel, admiring my precious Ring of Precision..

TL;DR From personal experience, getting RoP for a characer should take one about 4-5 runs.

It's easy to get some people even have 5 *cough* Felix.

Get a P2P to pull you and do 10 runs a day.. then you'll have it eventually. Don't bother queuing with dungeon finder for it, chances are slim and frustrations high with sucky teams.

I like how 1% of ppl started this idea of leaving your perfectly fine gear in order to grind endlessly for a thing that dont even worth it, just because they got it.

If u eva loot this rign i sugest you to disenchant it. or go to blackrock mountan and jump in to a lava with it.

I guess I will tell my story:

I geared 15 rogues with dungeon drop gears only.

On my 15th rogue, ROP finally drop and I won it over a lv 24 hunter.

For me, it was the murloc-boss, or one of the morlocs, that drop ROP.

good luck.
