RIFT as an alternative for F2P

23 for me :)

Top Speed Yeah Baby!

I just went EU cause i can feel the difference as EU playing on US AP when playing a melee class and i just didn't want that for Rift, might get me an account for it.

I wanted to play a little further on my level 10 toon but the armory thread took some time to fix and its pretty late now... go to sleep Medan! :D

Ye, I probably should:p

We could just all play vanilla wow on a private server as well

Too bad its on Windows only -_-

Ahhh I am soooo lost >..>

i took a 3day break from rift and yeah.... i forgot what i was doing lol...

There are 19 twinks with 3k+ hp. My buffed hp is around 1.1k. The rotations are vastly superior to low level wow.

But: How do I gear? Rifts? Random Drops? AH?

Favor (honor) only gets 2 slots with level 12 blues. Still a lot to discover, being playing around with opening rifts early.

Just signed up for the wiki, moopa is the account name, will be able to contribute my finding and such. only posting here because the site said it was an invite only wiki.
thanks

If you are really looking for a good WoW F2P alternative, try out Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.

The game has 40 ranks (levels) out of which 10 are free in the trial. You get access to the first two zones. The game's all about open RvR (Realm vs. Realm, that's a new concept. Instead of PvP, you have to work as a group to win.) so those two areas have a 'lake', that's the name players gave to the PvP area.
I've played there for a while and it's good, and I'm sure it's much better than Rift. You even have an armor set at rank 10, and 5 as well, if you manage to make a group going for the only dungeon available. (the game is in no way designed to PvE. PvE content in Tier 1 is adequate and populated but not for higher Tiers.)
Note: Tier symbolizes the way players fight each other based on levels. Tier 1 consists of Ranks 1-15.
2nd Note: You don't have to worry fighting rank 15's. The lake bolsters you to rank 15 automatically, with increased stats and such.

Therefore, content: -1 dungeon
-1 massive oRvR zone
-3 BGs
-1 extra BG every weekend
-Public Quests (area-wide group quests that you automatically join)
-Over 150+ quests
-Tome of Knowledge ---> about 400 achievements available in trial with some work.
Tome also includes Bestiary, with achievements for killing X mobs of a type.
-Tons of people since it's free.
-You can enter guilds.

Edit: You also get access to 3 battlegrounds, with one special battleground every weekend or so. I can post a guide to that game if you want.

Double edit: It's also on Mac. Karak Norn is the server you should go if you consider my idea.

Why are you posting Warhammer as an alternative to Rift when this Rift thread is supposed to be an alternative to WoW :(

and i've tried warhammer it just isn't my style ;p

I've changed the wiki permissions so people can request membership (it didn't say anything about that being disabled when I made the wiki)

the other thing to try is DCUO (which is now F2P, its very fun hybrid combat game and the only restrictins are you can not have more than 2 characters (per account) and you can't join a league.

Otherwise its great.

Well, since Rift has been stated as an alternative to WoW and I stated Warhammer as an alternative to Rift, then Warhammer is an alternative to WoW :D seems legit

You want to promote other games, go and make a separate thread instead of hijacking someone else's. Your posts are off-topic here.
