REAL trials get kicked from bg's.

Even as helpful as you are sounding right now, most of the undergeared people are bots, oblivious newcomers or different language speakers, some may even assume you were linking them to a hook-up site to meet handsome slender gay men.

The mighty earlwing doesn't report noobs afk he uses them to pick his teath after he devours horde fotm rollers

Telling people to come to this site isn't just going to help the 900 hpers as I know most of them are spanish or a bot or all that.. It can also help all the mid the pack people that are decent but still really don't know how to play their class at all.. It is a way better alternative them simply reporting them afk and being a jerk like some of the people in this thread has said should be done..

People have said it's been done and mocked me for trying to come up with the idea yet I haven't seen anyone else say it? I don't even think the way I heard about this site was in a bg.. I think someone came on my server and whispered me it actually. Make a quick macro telling people to come here and hopefully the skill level will mostly increase.

Orr keep being a jerk and reporting people afk simply because they're undergeared

Noobs are there to be carried, not reported!

I remember escorting a 900hp warrior for his first flag cap... It bought a tear to my eye :)

24 P2P's and just the RDF in general piss me off way more. Theres times where I try to explain to them to hit up stocks or BFD before going in this bracket but I'm only half serious, When its set up so my side wins I usually don't take the initiative to say anything. Then again sometimes my confidence in our victory is so high I'll drop that flag for the 600 hp druid that "runs faster" or even help a 900 rogue get ironman. I think some of yuns are just spoiled by your pre-mades too much to have tolerance in the next generation of newbz. If it gets too terrible I'll just switch to an alliance toon for a few BG's, whichever side controls Halaa I suppose.

@lil

I don't report undergears. I have macros that say "wowhead.com" and "twinkinfo.com/forums/f43/" that I hit whenever someone asks me a question about my gear. But you can keep making assumptions if you want.

It's good to see TI is as it has always been :)

In this thread, I see a bunch of kids throwing sand in a sandbox, very juvenile.

Lil's idea is not new but her reason for using it is the very reason a young Earlwing started using that EXACT kind of macro many many moons ago! Only difference, is Lil still thanks the bracket can be changed and I applaud that.

Never forget where you came from and who you were, I think that is the key to this thread ;)

It's over the top to report "noobs" out of the battleground, but when playing against the odds with the amount of 24's in the bracket geared to their eyeballs there's plenty of sense in asking for people to gear even slightly before PvP

i see the bearinfo.com domain is still for sale -- i'm thinking druid tank site.

brb, checking avaliability of pussyinfo.com for dps spec...

Catch a man a fish, and he'll eat for a night. Teach him to fish and he'll eat for life.

making a macro that says "you have earned the Achievement [Wowhead User]!" is NOT teaching a man to fish.

i don't get why people (not necessarily you) think that just because they have more experience at the game, that it somehow makes them better people.

it does NOT.

i would suggest that you edit your macro so that it says, "all the information you need to get geared is on wowhead.com. and there are several good guides at twinkinfo.com, some of which i personally have written."

you get more flies with honey than vinegar.

Catch a man a fish, and he'll eat for a night. Teach him to fish and he'll eat for life.

And what I meant by this ^ is that teaching people how to find information, is better than feeding it to them directly. Buckeye, if you would please hop off my dick, and try to understand a post before you make such brash remarks, I would be very appreciative. Now, if anyone else has a problem with me directing new players to wowhead and TI, please let me know.

When asked, for example, where I got my legs, I would respond "Foreman Thistlenettle, Deadmines dead side. I learned about them at www.wowhead.com"

That way I'm answering the question AND giving them a lead to finding more information themselves.

And yes, going along with what Earl said, back in the day we used to start every battleground with macros describing Aerie Peak and the F2P community, and end the battleground with a macro saying that if you had fun, please seek us out on twinkinfo.com. Perhaps no one really does that anymore, but Earl's point, I think, was that for a long time, among some of us, it was an every-battle occurrence.

I get told to leave by pallys and Druids because I play a shaman. Did i mention these people have 1.2-1.3k hp?
Then there are the Druids who say pass the flag I'm faster with like 7 stacks.

Or something like. Why would you ever play a mage man? Druids got higher dmg

This new player got his first lesson today. Don't queue BGs with bad gear or you'll get kicked for having bad gear. Seems like a perfectly good lesson to me.
This is what it boils down to. The entire game is like this.

Get good or get out.

We need an addon to kick geared scrubs out of BGs too.
I can make that happen.

Catch a man a fish, and he'll eat for a night. Teach him to fish and he'll eat for life.
