Real-life blacksmith forges Frostmourne

this guy has some sweet technology in his shop, like doing the in house etching.

sword came out looking bad ass too, i just wish he would have forged it from a chunk of steel or something, instead of just tracing it onto a sheet and cutting it out. might as well just get a hydraulic press at that point, and save the band saw work. the rest of the craftsmanship is just insane tho...and some of the temperatures they work at are mind boggling. seems like itd be sweet job tho if you have the artistic mind and ability to work with the materials

definitely going to watch the rest of his videos.

looks absolutely fucking brutal as a torture method. imagine putting that at like 1500 degrees and putting someones finger in the middle /puke. .start at 1:25 if you just want to see the forge in question, but i recommend watching this whole thing; and all their videos! all the people working on the weapons look like they're fans of what they make too, so hopefully that isnt just acting. (ex. "for the horde" cheer at the end of frostmourne)

Yea I enjoyed the For the Horde lol. Check out Gimil's Axe, it's probably my favorite build 2nd to Frostmourne. The damascus steel is gorgeous.

ya the bearded axe was sweet. and from watching more videos it seems at least one assistant is into anime and stuff. and the main guy himself said he liked lotr books and other fantasy things, as well as having attended comicon. so i would assume they are fairly nerdy and are interested in the weapons they make and not just feigning excitement
