Reaching The World of Warcraft Player Base

One of the biggest obstacles facing the growth of our play style is exposure, many World of Warcraft players simply don't realize that Twinking is still a thing. Now you and I both know that is not true - Twinking is still a daily activity for many World of Warcraft players, perhaps a shadow of its former self in size, but never in quality.

In terms of quality I believe the circumstances in the XP Off world are very fortunate. While not all brackets are active on a daily basis, the ones that are have a high level of competition, active guilds, recruitment, streamers, community and events.

In a lot of ways XP Off I feel has given us the tools we need to sustain ourselves as a play-style, but why stop there? Is the goal of events and things like The annual Twinkcup, The Nineteens Wargaming league, GG19, or arena tournaments with streamers not for the sake of promoting ourselves? and too increase the exposure of our play style, so it continues to grow?

I think that is actually where we are as a community right now: In a position where it is up to us to expose ourselves to the greater World of Warcraft Player base. Holistically speaking that is a complicated thing too do, it requires posting on forums, using social media, meeting people, and spreading information. On an individual level it is as simple as talking to people about Twinking whenever you can.

My goal with this s to compile a list of useful resources where people from all forms of play-styles in World of Warcraft go and participate in discussion about XP Off PvP.

I have been one of a few active players who also goes to the official forums and promoted TI and now XPOff. Been posting threads about when xp locked games are going, where to find guilds and so on over a span of.. well my entire wow life. Taking this as example http://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/19527-tink-info-for-dummies/ and the resent postings in this one http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/16884599640. But it surely feels like I am the only one.

People should get more active with such things for sure! But I am not certain if this community here wants all of that and only want to be an elitist group (specially EU, US is active on the official forums) and not wanting to expand this community. Regardless of that, I will keep continueing to promote xpoff and our playstyle and I am certain it helped getting more players aware and contributed to the recent pops.
