Sputnick
Made in EU
omg, it's not about the winning or losing. it's that it's unenjoyable even when we win. frankly you don't understand because you wasn't around when 19 were good. the way it is played atm is the problem, not the outcome.
Sputnick, come try explain to your guild mate.
I'll try to come out imparcial in this one, as I like you both and I can relate to some aspects of both your opinions.
Whatgoesup, do you remember the amount of times we had to eat grass in our own graveyard? We were completely outplayed by TL, pugging in the early days. We were hostile towards them. Maybe because we couldn't acknowledge them as the best of the 19 bracket, because AAO was once on the top, and our pride was too hurt after defeat. It was our first defeat, ever.
So what we did? Did we keep on resenting them? No. We had to better ourselves, so we kept fighting them, learning their ways, and ultimately try and match them. And thanks to that I can say that the Sputnick and AAO that first joined this bracket again after a long break, is completely different from the Sputnick and AAO that took a break from it. And I can only say that I improved mostly because I was fighting against the best of the bracket. Even if you don't like them, you have to acknoledge them, because they bring results. They could just retire and end up saying that they were the only undefeated guild to have ever existed in the 19 bracket. But no, they are open for ANY challenge. And believe me, they sound like complete assholes, but they are not what they look like. It's just the pressure of the bracket that made them that way, we made them hostile. I was one of the most hostile guys to them, because I couldn't acknowledge them. But then on one random day me and Stubs just set down and talked for long hours into the night, about everything. And that's when I started to see their side. So instead of trying to outcast them from our activities (Real ID premades; Wargames, etc); we ultimately embraced them and made it clear that they COULDN'T be out of any activity that this bracket engages in. Fighting the Horde without TL was like boxing against the blind, it was a guarantee to win and ultimately brought no fun.
The Saint: The good Ol'days are long gone. Sometimes I find myself saying many times "back in 3.3.5 ~~~"; but then I realise that I'm just being stupid. I LOVED the O & D strategy. I play in this bracket ever since I remember that twinking exists, and I've been in many premades and all sorts of battles. If I would rather take the old playground? I would. There's nothing in this twink history that marked me the most than 3.3.5. NOTHING.
If I would rather be playing in 3.3.5 (Private Server) or playing 5.4? I would rather improve and follow up the outcome of the game. I refuse to stall and live in the good days, even if I prefer them to this way of playing. But ultimately I chose to play retail, and embraced 5.4. And surprisingly, I'm starting to like it, and the new twinks that inhabit it.
Why? Because it will challenge myself more than 3.3.5 (Private Server) would.
OT: CripzBlood, there are only 3 people in this bracket, as far as I know, that broke the 300k barrier in the [EU] 19s: Stubs, Vianco and Sputnick. It's not the hardest thing to get there, but it's uncommun.
OTT: Anda masé jogar 19s.
