PvP video Mistweaver monk. Invocation|One

Really like the gameplay of monks! I banned the rude troll. Don't worry, F2P restricted or actual F2P, all are of course welcome and belong in this section and you're great for playing a monk (and well!), always love to see monks around. :D

I kept the posts for now so other people can see why he was banned, upon IP check I found he was indeed circumventing a prior ban. I will clean them immediately if you do not want that discussion in your thread, since it does take away from the awesome video. :) PM me if you want all the posts related to the troll cleaned!

I have a weird question regarding your video. You seem to know how to play your class/spec. But I have yet to understand why you always tend to pvp trinket the cc on you instead of dispelling them with your own dispel... I know it's on cd and stuff, but since you team with a druid who is immune to sheep/root/snare and therefore only vulnerable to magic stun (the only is Hoj i think and it's in melee range) and fear (priest one is melee range, warlocks aren't that played...) I think you should better save your pvp trinket when you actually really need it.

Just my two cents!

PS: it's quite refreshing to see a heal class video, especially when it's a new class :)

You should experiment with haste.

Monk's Stance of the Wise Serpent provides additional haste based on items you have that have haste. This means you can get more then most other classes at 20. From my experience you can get enough to equal an extra tick from your mist, meaning your mist ticks faster, and you have more chances to generate chi. The stance also provides hit and expertise from spirit you get from items, you may want to try mixing in some spirit gear as well.

Someone else on TI pointed this out, in another thread. I can't remember the name or the thread. But I would suggest trying both a haste build and a resil build, and see what you like :)

Switch your stance to Stance of the Fierce Tiger for passive movement increase. This helps with what Kahr mentioned, not having people range you, as well as catching kills and just plain ranging people yourself. You will lose chi, but sometimes the speed is more important. I could be wrong but I don't think you switched once during your video.

Ehem, uh... I sense I've gone too far.

Good videeeeoh and glad to see people playing F2P restricted monks, especially Mistweaver, doesn't seem to be a lot of them. Everyone seems to play Windwalker or Brewmaster :)

Yde nah don't worry I want to keep the comments, better for everyone to see why he was banned. Nickgoodfield yeah sorry it is a bit of a habit, I may have to make a macro to target myself because I sometimes find it easier to trinket to be able to catch up to Owna instead of pressing F1 and then my dispel, thank you for the tip :p Rhaellia ahh good idea, reckon you could build me a chardev for a haste set.. I am not entirely sure it would work as you state it would as there is a simple trick you can do where you just spam your chain heal and you get 2 heals per tick without the added haste, perhaps that will add to 4 heals you never know :p

/cast [nomod,@mouseover] detox
/cast [mod:shift,@Yourname] detox

try that, and do the same for tigers lust.

You stack just enough haste to get the extra tick. You only need cape, belt, and the off-hand boa. The question of gear really only falls to whether or not the resil loss is worth the haste, assuming Staff of Jordan.

To me the haste seemed better, faster ticks, more ticks, overall more chi and faster. I can't test it more as I stopped paying but with both my monks the haste felt faster, I seemed to generate chi way faster, and I already spammed mist.

I'm not saying stack all the haste you can possibly get or that it is in fact the best, just I think you should try it for yourself :)

Ahh perhaps I will test it out, just need the jp for the boa now :p
