So main stat + pvp power is the way to go for pmuch everyone now.

It does nothing for DPS specs.

It seems to still work for Healing specs.

i remember prot wars with max resil and 2nd wind were unkillable. i was able to solo karazhan except for romeo and juliet.

There's no reason to use PvP Power Gems. You can buy one 5x Intellect + 5x Crit and 5x Agility + 5x Crit for just 1x Mark of Honor.
It only has a small effect on Healers, but if you're a DPS I would go for the Gems, that I mentioned earlier.
