Me showing (telling) you how melees easily counter SP in a 1v1 duel by simply stoping their vampyric touch, where your response is "how much experience do you have in this bracket?", I am sorry to say, but that sounds very much like you are trying to discredit me based on my "inexperience".

And i dont think we are going anywhere, so as i said earlier, lets agree to disagree.

no lol, you are taking it that way. I have seen these duels 100 times over, and i can tell you that spriest is just fine after having VT kicked. 70 has so many more variables in it then just, x does y in pvp, that's why i like it so much

If your goal is to stack versa (a good option for many casters, imo), https://www.wowhead.com/item=39074/drape-of-distilled-hatred&bonus=3686 can give the cape of antonidas a run for its money. Yeah, you lose a socket so it's not ideal but maybe if it procs purple...

I played mainly Disc @ 70 - and much preferred the extra stam vs the extra Spellpower of the Spellfire set.

I have Engineering and Inscription as my profs so can't comment on the Whitemend bonus vs Sunwell / HC Dungeon gear. If the old tailoring perks where still in place I'd have taken that, still have several pieces with the GF'd 17SP 8? Stam tailoring enchant on my Mage

You could always run a meta gem with stun or silence reduction - not as much as the neck gives but then you have more choice for neck or neck / ring combo ( The ilevel 100 Charlotte's / Lola is the one if you can find one )

You haven't mentioned Faction or Race either, which may have a bearing on your gear choices.

SP is absolutely godlike right now.
 
BlackBerry, would you recommend vers > haste for spriest or a combination of both? I thought priests in general wanted to balance the 2, but I could be wrong. If pure vers stacking with haste neglect is viable, I might just have some leveling to do. o_O

Edit: pieces other than whitemend and spellfire btw

I haven't played this bracket for a long time, but I am gonna say as an SP main... haste neglect stack vers sounds horrid to play, even if it works. Again, don't play the bracket, I was just skimming some threads, saw the words "Shadow, Haste, Neglect" in a sentence and shuddered in horror.

I don’t know tons about 70 bracket, so this is probably a question for berry, however I’m pretty sure there are 5 int 4/5 haste can’t remeber, heroic dungeon gems. So I’d imagine something close to that. However I can see vers haste mix being decent as spriest will benefit from all 3 effects of the vers like ret and bookie. Would like to hear someone who knows more about spriests in this bracket though

I'm leaning "As much vers as is necessary then stack haste". if you know what I mean, but as I said I don't play 70s. I just know shadow inside out.

Is your mage in comment named after your epic proc chest? Or was that coincidence
