Really wish we knew what the state of instanced pvp is... The suspense is killing me

Did a 110 BG on PTR, there doesn't seem to be any sort of templates or restrictions. All my stats were the same (will double check tooltips/spell damage in my next one). Legendaries and trinkets worked, nothing greyed out like in legion. Some fun items that were even disabled during WoD seemed to work too.

had the same thought, but i'm not subbed on live & can't copy items to ptr (assuming i don't have them in inventory). i'll check alts' banks for them or just learn lw on a char to check stats quick

Wait wait wait. So if gear matters... and level scales to the top of the bracket... wouldnt gear scale aswell otherwise the levelers would get obliterated??

My excuse is being dumb af... i shouldve gotten a heirloom headgear with EVERY single enchant ingame!

This Enchant has been GF'd since wotlk right? And which enchant is this exactly? Thx!

Think they will still scale you but the stats are scaled after your gears stats not a predetermined template.

Exactly. Isnt this exactly what items did in WoD? Where gloomshroud was BiS, bvb, etc. If those low level items scale with the player, you could in theory make a 2x BVB lvl 21 rogue twink. WITH MAX AGI 21 gear, que bgs and ALL those items scale to 29. Shit ton of agi

Think it will be more of the character scaling than the gear to even it out for levelers and others.

The only way to get the Gnomish/Goblin engineering items is to get a higher level toon who can take the Gnomish/Goblin engineering quest to craft the item. Then you send them to your 19 or below. Must still have the required skill level to equip it though.

19 Destro Locks seem very strong in Beta so far. The Soul Fire talent is hitting for 764, Chaos Bolt (611), Conflag (182 non-crit), Immolate (100 ticks non-crit), and Incinerate (117).

SUPER IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that the lock I was testing with has full 29/34 Felgear, Furbolg Medicine Pouch, and Engineering gear. Totaling 220 intellect. So obviously someone with less gear will do less damage. Things could also change from now to the time BfA launches, just wanted to share my findings
