Are Prot Warriors really that OP?

Poll needs an option for "I can't believe we're still talking about this."

I agree, not that we can actually change anything about it.

One thing I just realized might be that SS also scales very well in BGs and explains the discrepancy between the bg ss and the duel ss. Here some screens for example in the same gear on in a bg one outside.

They ARE NOT OP, I can easily 1v1 a 24 prot warrior by LoSing him around healing hut.

Also, sometimes you can Scatter Shot right when they charge, and stop thier charge altogether.

Imo, the only time Prot Warriors are OP is when there are 5+ on a team.

It just gets ridiculous after that.

but be fair, him chasing you round the hut shows he was a sandwich short of a picnic...

That is why he died and I resumed helping my team?

and if you read it again i said he was stupid for chasing you...

edit: SS is broken, everyone knows it. the ones clicking no on this poll have got to be warriors

You CAN NOT 1v1 a 24 prot with los. Los works better for wars while they wait for their 2 moves to go off cd. They 1 shot your pet then charge and ss you for 75% of your hp while your rezzing pet then goes back to los you til charge and ss is up then your dead.

I see 3/11 just from who I know play wars ^-^

I really don't get this whole arguement.. The vids were a poor showing of what a war can do and if you've done bgs you know how OP they are.. Not quite sure why the people voted no in this poll but I can understand yes and learn to trinket options

Even serpent sting derping won't do that for you with war migitation ^-^ I'm assuming it was a good 24 war and knew how to counter los. A good one would 1-2 shot your pet asap while you are trying to los then if you try to rez them would charge ss then go back to los. Los is a better option for wars then hunts unless it's a BM hunt spamming kc with a feriocity ravager or something lol.

Just don't understand how you could los and beat a good 24 war 1v1. Also go get a dragonhawk

In my experience there's a large gap between the dueling climate this game provides and the battleground climate. You can't really compare duels to the things people experience in battlegrounds. Warriors can catch you off guard in battlegrounds and 2-3 shot you before you know what happened, unless you're a hunter with high situational awareness you really won't see it coming.

In my opinion dueling is the most imbalanced form of PvP in this game unless it's Class V Class which still produces results that are largely based on RNG. Drawing any conclusions from these videos or any duels you witness in game is just engaging yourself in misinformation.

To me, Prot Warriors are a 1 trick pony. They aren't over powered --they have a primary DPS ability that is over-tuned.
I've seen far more effective arms warriors in this bracket, they're just few and far between because they aren't flavor this patch.

all of you realize there's pvp above 20 right? at higher lvls (not that much higher) it's basically charge > warbringer > SS > revenge > gy, and it's like that all the way to 90. poor mobility doesn't mean a class should have an I win button.

In jest, I think most of us play this so that we don't have to worry about PvP above 20. ^-^;

The only reason warriors feel like they have low mobility is because they're choosing Warbringer over Double Time.

I haven't really had as much trouble against Warriors with Warbringer than I've had against Warriors with Double Time. People see a stun/short slow as being an attractive option. If you ask me they're putting their own mobility in the gutter for a chance to hamper their opponents mobility and that just doesn't seem like logic that will get you anywhere in a battleground type scenario unless you're padding stats and securing kills. I'd much rather play objectively and I almost always do.

I do see the value of Warbringer in an arena and maybe dueling type situation (even though Double Time still has an edge over it because you can strafe away the short distance and use charge to interrupt most 1.5 second casts if you're fast enough.). I just really don't find it to be that viable of a talent in a situation where you're potentially up against 5+ players in a wide open space and you can contribute more to your team with added mobility.
