sounds like this site is jumping the shark, or pivoting away from the community it is supposedly for. spending thousands of dollars on endgame tournaments? what?

By bringing endgame PvPers and Twitch users to this website it is my hope that exposure to low level PvPers will entice them into trying it out, that can't happen if they are all on a custom server.

I've recently opened up an Endgame sub forum because in legion I intend to run RBG Tournaments alongside level 19 NWL seasons, along with being entered into the mainstream of players in game come legion, with these tournaments I hope to enter into the mainstream of twitch, both these things could increase our user base by thousands, it is my hope that we can eventually become a sort of WoWhead for blizzard Esports.

On the contrary, this will be the only way twinking can ever become anything resembling mainstream, which is something many have always hoped for.

What you don't understand is that end-game PvPers know that Twinking is a thing already. We don't need exposure, everyone knows it's already a thing. You hosting these big tournaments won't do anything but give money to end-game PvPers.

Knowing and understanding is the difference between Superslam and Bahjeera, and no i come across plenty of people who are unaware that twinking still exists.

Yup, the formula that made it so uneffective won't be present in Legion, a bunch of undergeared nobodies will not be so burdensome, and such a cause for disinterest.

I can see that if XPOff became the main hub for end-game RBG Tournaments that we'd possibly get a lot of exposure. However, the fact that you think you can collect 6000$ a year and run non-profit is delusional. That's where you need a Private Server to fund your projects.

Twinking will never be mainstream, always niche. 8 years of history should be enough to know this.

The end game stuff could take off, and I wish you luck in this endeavor. It's going to be a challenge to get to the point of becoming a "WoWhead of Esports" when the current userbase has almost nothing to do with end game.

It seems some people are of the opinion that the ONLY way to bring income in is to have a private server? Did we have a private server to bring in income for the last three TCs? We damn near met the $10,000 limit to get Blizzard officially involved without a private server.

We had hundreds of funders in 2015 to reach 7000$.

Tell me man, where the hell are you getting these 6000$+ from? Whos the individuals? I know Blackout is involved, and the way the EU TC was gonna get their PrizePool is also involved.
