I have 2 questions about this particular mount:
1. Do you need to have at least ~500 fishing before trying to caught it?
2. Do you catch this mount @ Darkmoon island in pools or is it possible to get it from open water as well
1. No.
2. Pools are the only way to catch it in DMF. You can, however, catch it in any Cata zone in any pool as well! It HAS to be a pool no matter where you are though!
The Twilight Highlands pools are by far the easiest to farm. You can literally fish for hours (as horde) along the inner river and the souther coast without pulling aggro.
There are just a couple of spots you learn to avoid pretty quickly.
I'd just like to add that leveling fishing to fish for it is pointless, pools can be fished from skill 1. Essentially what I'm saying is that fishing for a turtle is one of the best ways to level fishing to 375.
Just out of curiosity, and a quick question - this is only obtainable through fishing in schools of fish? (e.g. highland guppy and deepsea sagefish in THL) and is still obtainable to f2p players?
