I consider every healer in WoW should be female dps male, so its easier to identifty in the clusterfuk that usually goes on and healer female is just something natural thing imo

I zoned into a bg..missed healing someone he started name calling like slut, bitc, etc and I said I was a guy then he went off it that guys shouldnt play female toons and its stupid for a man to do , it was funny(he was playing male BE too). I simply called him a fag for playing male BE but.. I what wanted to say just cuz I was playing a fem toon doesnt mean its stupid or ''gay''

I also like being a man IRL and I wouldn't like to become a woman. If I did I'd go to the doctor to do some old fashioned hormone therapy and surgery, I'd not be creating female chars on wow to achieve that.

Only thing that annoys me in this game is skimpy clothes (Would you ever even consider going to war in panties/underpants? I would not, If I wanted to look at sexy pixels I'd play a different game.) I don't need a reason. Characters are tools used to accomplish a goal not an extension of my personality. I'll be honest though. I can see you being attracted to Blood elves or something. Pandas though? Guys that make fempandas are creeps to me

yeah what Im trying to say I see no problem with playing opposite gender characters to a certain degree you shouldnt be called names and it has nothing to do with irl I mean what would a world with only male night elves and male blood elves look like? That's right...

But also I've always thoughtof the guys only playing female characters are like some sort of pessimistic narcissists, again this is my personal opinion

Lol I hear ya dude. But I also know of a girl who plays a male BE lol. I've heard the "Id rather stare at a girl's butt than a guy's butt" For me I'm not looking at any graphics like that lol... for me its allll about movement and animations. Most male charcters just feel kinda sluggish to me which is why most of my 19s are all female (except 1 rogue and 1 warlock)

My two healers are a Draenei male shaman and Tauren male priest, so big targets! Half my dps characters are female, including my two highest characters which are a female orc death knight and female dwarf paladin.

I hate the female tauren frame (and the laugh, laugh drives me nuts), so my main is a nice big beefy male cow.

Do I get "dude" "bro" and "he"-d the whole game? You betcha. Do I care? Not really. Theres so much less verbal molestation in this game when you're "one of the guys" anyways.

My first and main character is a Male Draenai. When I made it, I thought it looked cool and had a "epic" sort of aura. Didn't really care about racials at that time, since I was such a noob. All I cared about was looks.

Now I hate that decision. Male Draenai feels so sluggish and slow. It's annoying walking around with it and jumps are a pain. >.< I'm too lazy to make another character like it. Plus, there's the whole "emotional" attachment to the original one. I try to make up for it by using Deviate Fish. But meh. Even a male human might've been better.

what red blooded mail, would want to play a male belf?

Really silly to even consider character choice a reflection of RL personality.

/yawn

This has been gone over a million times before...

For the record I play mostly female chars. Because of this I am villified as a paedophile who frequents gay bars and I am a regular suspect for local rapes and homicides.

See where I am going with this?

It depends on the races

Troll: Both looks alright
Orc: Male
Undead: Both
Tauren: Male
Blood Elf: Female
Goblin: Both
Panda: Male
Human: Both
Dwarf: None
Gnome: Female
Night Elf: Female
Draenei: Both
Worgen: Male

if anyone has ever played Tera online, you'll find that the common thing they whine about is that anyone that plays an Elin (which is like an anime style girl) is a pedophile i've personally only played a few hours of the game but my friend who plays tera plays an elin and she is a girl and apparently they also think girls dont play games etc etc so there isnt even a gender thing its a case of if your toon is an elin your a pedo irl lol but yea i thought it was pretty ridiculous considering the small amount of time i played even i saw people whinging in the global chat thing about it

Personally I prefer playing male characters by a force of habit TBH, though some of the female characters I don't mind. Some races have benefits for picking one gender over the other as some jump higher or can fit into other places etc.

It also helps if you're going to heal to be small. Tauren are usually the first to be targeted due to size to be honest, hence why people usually make their healers female or just small races. Less noticeable.

Reason I dislike playing a female character is because I play on Moon Guard, and although it is only bad in Elwynn forest, playing a female character, even if you're in Feralas, you tend to get whispers from horny 40 year old men in Goldshire. Rofl

That's exactly why I chose Tauren for my protadin... and gulp giant elixirs to make myself a big beefsteak target. :p Git some!

It only sucks in the alliance tunnel - I hit my head.

And if you're going so far to worry about gender in a video game then you should also only play humies.

Word.
