The client needs to update and run optimization, so make sure you open up your launcher sooner rather than later if you're going to be impatient

Same with me, You have a to wait around 15 minutes before it starts going.

Pretty much everyone I talked to said it took ages for it to get from 0-5% ish then it just popped up to 100%. In other news, I'm usurping this thread and it shall now be used for moaning about the 1.5 hours left till things should go live.

To those having problems with the optimizer, it takes about 15-30 minutes for it to do ANYTHING, but then it finishes in like, less than 5 minutes once it gets going. I was on 0% for 20 minutes and then I tabbed back and it was finished.

Grrr..I'm still stuck at 0% for like a hour. It takes too long. :/

I open the launcher and there's a blue loading bar with the message, "Downloading uploaded tools..." as usual, but after the bar gets a bit past the length of that message I get a popup saying, "Could not connect to tracker!"

Might be something blocking it. might wanna try allowing it through your Firewall, or to check MMO-Champion for some help.

@lich Turn off your firewall and turn off Peer to Peer.

California is in the PDT timezone, so it should but up at 11am for you.
