Paladin with Shadowfang, worth it?

Paladins should only use a [item]Shadowfang[/item] if they are dueling or are on offense as DPS.

Go back to your cookie cutter bullshit if you have nothing constructive imo...

Not rolling a AP Pala is the best possible solution, so that's pretty damn constructive information. If you like playing subpar builds that's fine, but don't suggest that crap to other players.

A subpar build is only a subpar build behind the hands of someone that has no idea how to play the class... People play the easiest available builds, like I'm assuming you do, because they want to play ez-mode and not actually take the time to master the class or any skill involved while playing it. That's how "subpar" builds get rated lower, because sheep like you follow the flock...

Secondly it wasn't constructive to the original question he asked, he didn't want an answer that was essentially "lolol you scrub don't play that gtfo" seems a little childish doesn't it?

uhm, yeah that makes sense. A subpar build will always fall behind a good build considering both are played on the same skill level.

You failed to regard the fact that I put "subpar" build in quotations. A "subpar" build in that sense will fall behind because most people won't want to play it because it's not ez mode enough for their liking. The general populace of the game will choose the build that eases the amount of frustration or playing skill so they can breeze through with having to do a minimal amount of work. It may be considered subpar, but if someone wants to play it and make it workable for what they enjoy, then they can do so.

I see you havent quite caught up with the times yet gr1pp :p

AP/Str based paladins can be very hard to kill and put out some sweet damage

There is no way to make a 19 AP Pala work, so obviously there is nothing constructive to say about it.

AP is added to your judgement dmg and also affects your weapon swings, you have no idea what your talking about. If he went 2'her and protection he could be very effective dmg wise. you obviously have a flame problem, and if your not part of a sulution then your part of a problem, take it somewhere else, not on these threads.

I second everything for 19 "retadins" with a 5/5/0 build. I specced this with nowhere near max gear, and although survivability was relatively low, I could easily cause 500+ damage in one global cooldown with hammer+judgment. They also have the advantage of being very mobile due to Hand of Freedom.

Which just got nerfed by almost half. :p

ummm, there's absolutely nothing wrong with going for an offensively-geared paladin at 19. they are certainly better than 19 holy pallies, which are so vastly inferior to priests and shaman at 19 for healing that they're barely worth mentioning.

in fact, i have a feeling that "ret" pallies at 19 could be a very very good class - it's just that no good players have all-out tested it yet.

edit: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#sV0bZc seems extremely good for 19 arenas.

I don't play nearly as much as other people play the 19 bracket, at least not anymore, but whenever I get bored and hop on my 19 pally I can own it up pretty hard, in both damage, flag runs, and flag returning. I had someone awhile back whisp me when BC was first introduced and BE pallies were starting to pop up everywhere, most of them being clueless at the time as they were new to the class, anyway I got whisped as to how I was doing so well in a bg and not being fully twinked, I simply replied because I had been doing it for years on ally side. If you know how to play the class I think "retadin" at 19 could work very effectively and I've seen it in action personally.

When you say 'just' got nerfed, how soon you talking? 'cause I 'just' did that spec about 1.5 months ago, and I managed ~250 +/- crits with judgements and a Smite's Mighty Hammer, added for the combined ~500. OFC my spells would be hitting for a little less due to losing 35 SP from leggings, but in the end I would still cause a decent amount of burst.

Why the hell are you people saying my name so much? I heard you the first time.

:p

Thx for your responses,i will try an ap pally! And I will see!

But i have another question, for the pa /vindict pally player!

What on average to you do when you hit, normal attack?

Thanks! And sorry if i've created a nasty atmosphere. ....

Waiting for your responses!
