Old Time Member Coming Back to Twinking

Hey all! With heirloom gear being released again in patch 6.1, I am looking to create a new 19 Twink.

I've been very into Monks since their release in MoP and have been very successful in PvP on my main Monk (Windwalker primarily).

With that being said, I want something to do when I'm not playing my main so I figured "Why not come back to twinking?"

I was just wondering what current thoughts were on Brewmaster/Windwalker Monks? How do I build one of these BiS? Are there any Monk twink armories I can use as a reference? I haven't twinked seriously since heirloom gear was just being released so bare with me! I'd greatly appreciate the help.

Edit: Found some armories, most of them seemed incomplete however. Also Horde or Alliance for faster ques?

At the moment 19 queues are not happening. However as a community we will have to organise queue times and make it happen. I found when queues were popping they were faster on alliance although im sure either side could use a monk

Damn that's a shame to hear. I transferred to Bleeding Hollow recently and I do see quite a few twinks running around main cities from time to time.

Queues typically die when school starts back up. There will be nights when the community organizes games.

Wargames do happen from time to time. We honestly have the numbers, it's just not everyone logs on at the same time/people don't have the patience.

Roll whichever faction you want to. Alliance typically lacks FC's and if you rolled a BM that could be something to think about. BM has a lot of burst and obviously is very tanky. I love having BM's on my team not only because of the damage, but because of how much of a pain they are for the other team. They have a great slow and are awesome for team fights.

WW has more sustain damage but dies easier. They have more mobility, but for a team fight I would much rather have a BM.

--- Games will pack back up during school breaks and the summer. Also, arenas do pop.

Thanks for the response. I absolutely love WW however, like you said it doesn't seem particularly useful DPS wise in the bracket. I see some people running Shadowfang still and others using Heirloom weps. Is Shadowfang still technically BiS?

I'm no expert, but I think SF is bis for damage because of the max agi and the SF proc which can proc ele force.

Plus it was the swag factor.

Having a hard time choosing between Brewmaster and WW. I always aimed for being unique and different (playing WW in PVP end game atm.)

Reading a lot on the 20-29 forum. Seems a lot more active. Maybe this is a safer idea if I want to que whenever?

19s are attempting to organize queues now on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening at 8 PM EST.

We'll see if we get a pop tomorrow night or not!

If you're looking to queue whenever, I'd suggest getting a 19 up and geared to help out with getting pops this weekend and I'd suggest rolling a 29 sometime during early next week and playing that during the week!

Cheers,
Mocha
