OHFHK's 2v2 Tournament - Week 3

I'd have pumped boomy priest as ww/rogue priest whens thr next nwl tourney conq

We were going back n forth against boomy/priest team as Ret/Rsham before the tourney in skirms. A few very long good games. We got stomped by them in the tourney though, the pressure was unreal.

Late November at the earliest, the second season of the NWL will require tryouts for teams so that will be an event In itself, and them the season will start with potentially as many as 10 teams

What is the thought process behind having to be in a guild for this?

/cheers

It initially started as an in-guild event, we had 8 teams all within the guild play that night. We all had such a great time that we decided we should make it a weekly thing, then decided we should also open it to more people. Our first intention was having only <OHFHK> and <BILED> allowed in order to help us pickup a few new members so that the guilds involved could finish off roster and also get guild-less people a reason to join a guild. We have picked up a few members the day of Tourney and within the last couple days. In the post I mentioned I might be opening to all people within the next couple weeks and I think that is what i'm leaning toward doing for next week's as of now.

We may as well. It's up to you, being as your the one giving away the prize. If your giving them away weekly regardless we may as well just include everyone. Once I start farming maybe you and I can throw a gloom for one of the tournaments.

Anodyne might host a 3s tournament as well, but we will have to some testing for balance purposes first. Stay tuned folks. The arena revolution has begun.

Maybe we could test via some anodyne and oh4hks mixed runs. Make a raid group, random pick teams in a way that still delivers viable comps, and switch teams after every best of 3.

Warlock/mage looking for a mate to play with you must be alliance

Curious to know if arena striking is going to become a "thing". So the past two tourneys I've queued random arena, I think it would add more competition if someone gets to pick the arena. /roll in the beginning whoever has the higher or lower number would say I ban "Nagrand". Opposing team then gets to ban 1-3 arenas left. This leaves the team who won the roll to pick between two different arenas. Whichever team loses the first game gets to ban first. This idea is pretty much the same as SSBM stage striking if anyone is familiar.

Games are best two of three so it would be interesting if we made them random que the first map and winner following each round gets to pick the next arena.

Sign up for this one. Took 2nd last week as ww/disc. Would have been first but BMs were allowed.

my monk is ally ;((

This is being opened to everyone and will be on The NWL stream regularly with commentary.

That's cool but I like the way we do it where people look at the bracket and play who they are supposed to the commentary is nice but let's have them skip around as games are played behind the scenes so that it doesn't take 4 hours. I would say just stream the winners bracket but the losers is actually usually more exciting so maybe the commentator can keep track of the bracket as I update it and pick and chose which games he streams; and of course the semis and finals.

I agree, when its streamed it takes way too long due to ingame problems and streamers constantly but it is fun. I mean hey some things they can't fix and or change but it does take usually 2-6 hours to finish the whole thing and by then a lot of viewers would have gotten bored and most in my opinion would want to just see highlighted games and plays.

Was thinking about maybe having a streamer for the Winner's and Loser's bracket each seperately
