Often they're really sensitive about any criticism at all. And I don't have time to think about and type out an ultra polite encouragement in a bg. I met a rogue while getting AGM and he had Serpent Gloves, when I asked why he didn't have Naga GLoves, he said that he'd already done the quest and took some other quest reward. Since it wasn't a BG, I had time to explain that they are a drop from blahblah...
At some point in our conversation, he mentioned not being a "gear-snob", so he probably got a lot of flak for his gear and just shut-down.
When I saw him later, he'd gotten them. Probably b/c I wasn't an ass about it helped.
On the other hand, my playing more and more lowers tolerance for stupid . . . So many healers who don't heal today.
