Yarghmatey,

Background: I picked the class because a paladin was my first main character, and they've always been so exciting to play. I've had my currently level 85 paladin for 4 years now, and I thought it would be fun to play it as a lower level. My race is simply because I wanted the character to look similiar to myself in real life. So of course I chose the serious face because that's how I can be, black pony tail because my hair is very dark and I wear a pony tail a majority of the time, and of course she has brown eyes. My strongest characteristic is to always be the person "helping" people in many situations. In real life, people can usually come to me for their problems or just to talk to. As a paladin, I've always been holy spec'd, because I feel it is what helps people out the most in situations in game, and that's basically how I can relate myself to being a paladin.

The story: Long ago, I have found a great interest in pirates, scurvy hats, parrots, n' such. I've always thought o' pirates to be vary interestin', n' I likd' all thar Pirate movies. Which is why on me barnacle coverd' paladin, I have strivn' for the goal o' the Bloodsail Admiral title, because I like pirates far more than those short green thinger majigs, n' I wanted to sword fight along side me mateys. So after achieving thar title, me fantastic red hat n' green parrot, I sailed off the Stranglethorn shore with me trusty crew. After arr' long, adventurous journey, I met a lad named Reflexes. He war a nice fellow. He noticed me amazing parrot on me shoulder n' said, yargh matey, that be quite the parrot you got thar. I simply replied, yargh, he war a gift I received upon slaughtering many o' goblins. We parted arr ways, n' have never crossed paths again. I've always rememberd' that lad, n' what he's said to me, n' later used his greeting as a name. That be the story of how me paladin got har name.

Edit- For less confusion, I just thought that I changed the story to more pirate orientated language because it puts it together. For the background I kept it normal, because it's in a more serious and understanding tone.

yo, the twink I play most now a days is my beloved Copyhat. My twinking era started out when I was lvl 35 on my main and some friends told me lvl 19 twinks was so awsome. I started gearing my warrior and was rly proud of it, was in the beginning of tbc and when I look back at it I can't resist to call myself stupid... wow times fly by and I did a priest in end tbc/ early wotlk. then when I decide that I wanted a paladin next, I lvl it up to 19 get some gear pieces and get those nasty leg enchants, and BAM, next day they set a lvl req on the leg enchant... I just couldn't bother with it and rage quit twinking.

So comes cata and I see this person, Siwtz, searching for ppl for his twink guild. Think it could be fun to try it out agian and since I always thougt paladins looked cool I decide to bring my paladin. Geared him up and got him pretty much bis and see that ques r alive and such, so fun!. This was on Frostmane and I had my name, Copycat, liked it alot and so. I decide to go to Draenor coz there was all the cool kid and the majority of players, feelt like that alteast.

So I transferr to Draenor and bam, ofc Copycat was taken... So I remember how someone in a Dung called me Copyhat, and how much that made me laugh, so I roll with that name. and thats the name I have start to like and is prolly the name i will keep forevva now! o:

When I started the character agian in cata I started to actully care about achivement, HUnted quite alot on my main in end wotlk, and have spent quite some time on them and by doing so I have come to see Copyhat like something more than just another toon or another twink, so much time invested and such.. lovely character. as of race I love both draenei, common, that booty is awsome o; and human since dubble agm and 2 min trinket feels superior as healer, so u pretty much always have it off CD.

Pretty much the story of my beloved paladin.

Went from vek'nilash > Frostmane > Draenor and is now on Aszune

My name started out with Reminder > Kanjagfålog > Copycat > Copyhat > Pöket and back to Copyhat that it will stay as :]

My level 1 twink, Keyboardmash~!

It's been a long time since I made her, but I think I called her that because the only move I had was sinister strike (and eviscerate originally), and all I'd be doing was mashing that key
<

Made her a female gnome since they're the smallest race/gender combination, and why not have the smallest toon with the smallest level?

Rogue since hunters were kinda crappy at that point, and I liked the huge dodge I could get.

My favourite thing about her is my 2 agms! I know most people have them, but they're really special for me since I had to get both of them all by myself for over a year on a very high pop server
<

Also have ruby shades, formal dangui, haunted momento and noble's elementium signet on her
<

Currently grinding prison keys to get exalted with BC reps!

Jüggernäut - http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/drenden/J%C3%BCggern%C3%A4ut/simple

Hi all im new and this is my 24 twink pally Jüggernäut. He was orignally a SHE!!! Then i decided to become a Tauren for the health racial, which greatly attributes to my mighty stamina. The name was orignally holyhotness because of her beauty then I changed race and went with Jüggernäut the relentless monster!!! A Jüggernäut is a force with destructive devotion!!! Master FC and a pain in the you know what to kill
<
His name represents him as a whole... a machine with 2 purposes to kill and cap!!! Trying to make a big name for this twink after putting much time and enthusiasm into him. I'm striving to put my name out any way possible and love WSG and AB!!!... and to all in the 20-24 bracket beware... Jüggernäut for king!!!

Sushibanks

My favorite 70 twink atm. I would say I spent the most time and effort on this character. I would set alarms to wake up in the middle of the night to look for rares. My first character that got me into pvp. I chose this name not entirely by myself, my friends and I had sushi the night I bought this acc so I used the name Sushi for a while and when I got to lvl 30ish or something, didn't like him, deleted him, remade him after a week regretting about it, but this time I had name it Sushibanks because I had made a warlock as my main while my rogue was deleted. I chose him as a human back then because it would allow me to see others in stealth better then they could see me, and I liked the race better. I chose the class because it sounded promising with stealth back in the days.

-> Symphonies <-

History: Created sometime in early 2006. Ret Paladins weren't good at all back in the day, so later on when I got a second WoW account I froze the old one and the Paladin sat abandoned and forgotten for 5 years. Back in November of '11 on a 'chance of luck', I xfered the Paladin to my active account only to rediscover a few grandfathered items, a Lucky Fishing Hat, and a Sergeant title. Decided to fix it up to what she is today.

Class: Wanting to play a class that could 'do it all', Paladin seemed like the most attractive. Shiny spells, powerful melee damage, reliable healing...what more could you want!? Aesthetics and displays of power really caught my eye, but I leave it all mostly to being interested in something that felt intuitively like a proper fit for my personality and capability as a gamer. Stylish and versatile!

Race: Originally a male Dwarf. Nothing's cooler! Then years after understanding how important racials are (and being swayed again by appearance), I wanted my character to be a femme fatale of sorts. These days you still only rarely see heroines or badass chicks, so I was interested in something that looked pretty but could totally kick your ass as the same time. But also, there was another factor in my decision making (see below).

Name: Symphonies comes from a level 60 (A) Ret Paladin from my home server. I was Horde, and she would make appearances from time to time with a couple of other guildies and wreak havoc on the Orgrimmar rooftops above the bank and inn. Well, not so much wreak havoc, but she would chew her bubblegum and kick ass when necessary since there were always those "If it's red it's dead!" kids anxious for any kind of action. She was one of the first end-game players that really impressed me and made me want to better myself at the game and become just as competent in that kind of a PvP situation. I've never forgotten her name or how much I admired her, and I've always wanted a female Ret Paladin of my own because of that and I've just always liked the way that combo looks.

History: Started twinking in early 2005, I played as a night elf rogues, simply because they could do flips in the air
<
, I sent 5kg over to my character (About 250k-300k if it was the same rate as today), I bought Fiery weapon and Icy weapon, I had a Cruel B as main hand, and second hand also. This was actually a very good DPS combo. I later went on to buy 2 shadowfangs for 3000g. I can safely say I was there when twinking on WoW was born
<
, Back then though twinks were not fully geared monsters, but semi geared players who were the just to have a bit of fun, it was common for almost all twinks to have below 1000 health, and missing a lot of enchants and gear, Back then it was hard work to gear up, Most gear was BoE, and the prices were high. Not everyone could afford the best gear, so they settled with bad gear, or no gear at all, as the year went on, twinking got more and more competitive, Hunters began to dominate the bracket, and Druid FCs were just unstoppable, Running around with 2.5k+ health, and jumping all the way across the battleground as a trick to get hit less, it was impossible to kill them. After a while I reached 25k Honourable kills, early (2006), at the time I had the most on my realm (twink), and in the top 10 worldwide, I took a very long break from twinking, and watched as the nerfs took place, in 2011, after hitting the gold cap on several charactors, I decided to come back into where I belonged, twinking
<
, at the moment I am trying to buy 2 shadowfangs, then you'll see me back in Warsong gulch, giving Curley or whoever is the best twink atm a challenge
<
,

Class: My first ever charactor on WoW was a rogue in late 2004, called 'unbornrogue' , this is why I picked a rogue to twink with, as I had an idea on how to play them, I also picked a rogue because they are very fun to play, stealthing around and destroying any poor guy that walks past
<
.

Race: Night elf because they could do flips. Not really sure what else to say in this section :z

Name: I chose the name 'Abbs' because I am very into fitness, and MMA. so I can only really say I was proud of my abbs a bit too much ;D.

Hello fellow twinkz,

My twinks name is redbulled: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/dentarg/Redbulled/simple

Redbulled was my first character ever i created on World of Warcraft. I got it to 66 and then got bored (i was still a nub back then), then i made my 19 twink mid-Wotlk Brewlock: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/dentarg/Brewlock/simple. Locks were very OP at that point, and i owned almost everything, and i decided to make a twink guild with some friends: Twink o Terror. (in the meantime i made my main too alrdy) When the first information about cata, guild perks came out i started to invite everyone also max levels, This was a succes with over more then 600 ppl it was with some other guilds 25 fast
<
. But the bad thing was, warlocks were nerfed so hard
<
i lost like 3/4 of all duels and skirmish was gone!!
<
SO i focussed on main for awhile cause i got bored at 19 twinks. But then i found some 70 twinks, and i started leveling my DRUID redbulled up
<
. Tho arenas are very unbalanced at 70 with tazik and synapse, and resto druids bein very bad it was stil fun, also made feral. And now i lvled him 74 cause was bored at 70 and 70 druid suckz.

p.s. i was so stupid to sell the guild to some morons for 17k, because i didn't play that often anymore. These guys now left and quite WoW and i will always regret this
<

Now im bored at 19 and 70 what next? i'll make a new 85, i think, and in MoP definitely a MONK!!!

This is a very short version of my WoW experience ^^

yours,

red/raged/brewie <3

You need to state that F2P Twinks CANNOT recieve this prize.

Actually, I'm pretty sure we can o_o;

http://us.battle.net...ztess/companion

I started Rhaellia after playing a rogue. I liked being a rogue but I found myself without a healer all the time and I wasn't a very good rogue. I was playing Arathi Basin one night and I saw this paladin, everything they did was a positive thing to the team. They could do damage and heal, they were versatile. So, I thought, okay I'll make a paladin on that sever Aerie Peak with all those other 20s. It was hard at first, healing was just weird and quick self-heals were... not very quick >.o I played some battlegrounds with Earl and Kincaide and I begun to get better, more importantly WSG started to be enjoyable, on my rogue I never queue'd for it. PuGs just sat there farming and not going for the flag or getting farmed. As a healer it wasn't perfect but I could sometimes heal enough to make a deference maybe even carry some flags. Started do premades and Rhaellia is the only character I play now, I have alts but they're alts and my rogue will be lucky if I ever even log onto that sever again xD

The name is taken from repeated mashing of the random name button :d and the race is just awesome (only problem is boots look dumb D:), racial hot is a nice bonus especially on those FCers who are just getting dog-piled while the rest of the PuG is too busy trying to farm.

Nohrmadar

I am a level 70 twink human mage leading a PvP twink guild called Effect. I was first on Azjol-Nerub - then I moved to The Sha'Tar and joined Listax.

I had a little break from around november 2010 to march 2011. When I came back I wanted to make a mage, cause I had never played one before. Turned out they were very decent in battlegrounds and such, so I sticked to it.

At 70, at first I didn't enjoy battlegrounds. It was very boring to me and I wasn't very good at it. I only did it for some of my brutal gear. Now I love battlegrounds, always loved arena. I play frost in 1v1s / arena, and sometimes go fire for some fun in BGs:)

I chose my name Nohrmadar because I thought it fit perfectly to an old-school level 60. I levled about 3 days after my attempt to stay 60.

I am lvl 20 f2p twink. I used to play back in tbc, but then I quitted. I saw an ad in da interweb few months back and was like I could try that again since it is free and now I really enjoy it.

And a little bit about my rogue. I chose rogue because I can choose my fights and I like to sneak out from gy when pesky alliances are farming us. I aslo played rogues back in tbc so it is the only class I am good with. And i chose undead cause it is the best looking race and the racial is decent I quess. Look > racial
<

I think that's about it and if you wnat to check my armory click the link in the signature.

http://us.battle.net...Ahworker/simple

Hello my twinks name is ahworker. he's one of my 20+ tinks . I chose to make this guy a 24 twink becuase one of my favorite twinks was my 19 lock droppindots and i wanted to try the differennt playstyle at 24. I have played since vinilla and have twinked since vanila as well. I made this guy a human because it was closest to sw and this was originaly a bank character . hence the 60k plus g i have on him. and his name is well ...... duh . he works the auction house. o ya and my strongest characteristic is knowing which fights to pick in the gultch and staying focused on teh flag

http://us.battle.net...%B8ffing/simple

History: My fondness for 19 warriors started way back in Vanilla. I played a warrior under the name Classified (on Blackrock), in which I got him to exalted with Warsong Outriders before cross realm battlegrounds were introduced (Was a pretty big deal back then, with the Warsong Outriders tabard being a pretty e-peen vanity item) I soon after that leveled him to 60, making him my first 60.

Since my time absent from the 19 bracket I made the above linked character, another 19 warrior. It was a rude awakening for myself as a warrior-player in the 19 bracket, because they weren't quite as weak as they are now compared to when I used to play.

Class: In other twink brackets I have many casters and roles. I have a 39 priest in which takes a healing role, and a 39 warlock who doesn't get played as often these days, obviously plays a caster-type DPS role. So I thought I'd change things up a bit and create a physical, melee damage class - and my reason for choosing warrior and not others is so I could revisit and bring back old memories of the 19 bracket, and because I heard there was an unhealthy abundance of rogues in the bracket already.

Race: I chose Human because of the racials - I twink purely and purposely to make my characters reach their full potential, gear and attribute wise in it's respected role / nature.. Being human allowed me to take expertise benifits towards my dual Shadowfangs, and allowed me to equip 2x static AGMs.

Name: My main twink's name is Smoffy (my 39 priest) - and when I made this char, I had to have a poke'mon associated / relevant name to be part of the guild <masta ballaz> so I took a spin on the poke'mon Koffing, thus Smøffing was born. I also chose to have the ø in the name too, because of the rumour going around that accented characters were going to be grandfathered in the most recent patch.

Reason for entering this competition: Firstly, I'm a pretty competitive person - so I take up any opportunity to enter a competition when it appeals to me. Also, I have an aim on this character to get as many companions as possible. I'm currently at 82, and these companions would rest well with my collection. If I could afford it, I'd buy them off ebay myself.. but apprenticeship wages aren't the greatest

http://us.battle.net...zzrealis/simple

Nvr actually post blogs like this much so bear with me here.

I picked a DK because i normally play on ANdorhal for alliance, but a few RL friends play on bonechewer and i wanted to quick hit 70 to play with em. so i made a dk cuz they skip alot and helped me play with them a bit more. the ranged shock spells and high dmg melee is like a shammy, but i liked that even if u were dmg, u could off tank as well. plus death strike, lichborne death coil, and raise dead death pact basically keep u at 70-90% regardless what u fight.

the BE i thought was just cool to use at the time. sleek look, the most "complex" history i think (rigth up there with undead). and the racil AOE is great for killing healers. also 15 runic power is great way to pop one extra heal if im like 10 short cuz of death coil or w/e.

i picked the name Azzrealis mostly for two reasons. one it had a kind of sinister, underworldy sound, which worked perfectly cuz hes a death knight. dk's are basically pallies who "fell from grace" (i.e. the Light) and thought it would be clever. also, people tend to remeber the intersting names better than gibberish or common names.

Thats pretty much it.

Alright guys, here goes. My twinked character is a Dwarf Paladin. First off, I picked Dwarf simply for several reasons. It was the smallest character I could make as f2p pally, so I wanted less of a chance to be clicked in battles lol. Also, I didn't see a ton of them with everyone doing humans for 2 agm's, so I wanted to stand out as the small person tanking. Beards/emotes are pretty awesome as well lol. I picked Paladin because he/she is like that "good guy" character...uses light to cleanse people from wounds, etc. I definitely wanted an alliance side for that. Paladins are so versatile with what they can do (dps, heals, tank) that I knew I would not be bored once I began him.

My name is connected to the entire paladin and dwarf concept. He was the good guy that would doing his own battles. He was the one to take out the bad guys by any means necessary...brutal like dwarves, but did it for the good, not evil, reasons..so alliance comes in to play. He didn't need cops, and he used his surroundings to punish his opponents.

I do not run around shoving bad guys' heads into windows or anything, but I do relate to my character. That's why I picked him! He fights for the good side. He heals and fights infront of battle. He's a leader, confident in his decisions. Instead of running away, he will stay by his allies sides through thick and thin. Sometimes not using his head in certain situations, but his heart. I love paladins for their survivability...what they stand for. This might be only a game, just for fun, whatever, but you make what you like. I like standing up for what's good, justice, and everything God has created on this earth. I am the Punisher of evil.

Hi! My twink is Tônks, formally known as Tonkks (which is now my 70 rogue) which is a female human rogue. I picked human because of seeing people in stealth, as my main was a mage and those stealthers pissed me off, this was back when humans had the "Perception" perk. I picked female because it felt more natural to do jumps on a female than a male, if not easier.

My name is Tônks/Tonkks from Harry Potter. I chose this name back in 2006, and being 10 years old it is hard to invent a name that is interesting. I thought Tonks was catchy and sounded like a rogue toon. The reason for the accent is when i xfered to Bloodhoof to play with GuP Tonks and Tonkks were taken. Back on my home server, i took the name Tonkks for my 70 rogue, and then when i xfered back i stuck to the name because of what people knew me as.

I have always been a mage person. Runescape when i was like 7, i had all the mage **** at high levels. All the elder scrolls games, mage toons. Back in '06 when the only toon i played was a mage, it felt like i dominated the charts and in pvp *EXCEPT* for rogues. (Dps depended on blizz mostly, so it changed around). I always found myself backstraifing from warriors and other melee classes back in BC, and thought it would be cool to try a rogue. Rogues also seem to always end up getting a lot of gold through pickpocketing/stealing, and while i do not do these things IRL, i love money!

Cirise, named as a variation of my first ever twink, became my fourth restoration shaman to join a twinker bracket, and in most ways embodies everything I believe in what twinking is about.

When I first began WoW in the summer of 2008, I loved playing a PvE healer priest. Keeping players alive in dungeons long after we all should have wiped made for some tremendous fun early on, as I learned the basics of the game. But I hated PvP. Most of all, I hated battleground bullies who clearly outgeared everyone else. I tried playing a shaman and found it extremely boring and limited in dungeons. Since my main happened to be alliance, I had only one race choice at the time to help my shaman – draenei. Before deleting her, I thought I'd do a battleground just in case two wrongs made a right.

If a priest has depth, then shamans have breadth. The impact of so many tools available, even in the 20s, made me realize how much of a difference a shaman could make, and how PvP had more potential than I had originally considered. But the battleground bullies persisted, and after hearing someone call them "those %@#$ twinks", I decided to make an “anti-twinkâ€, a healer that would bolster regular players and turn the tide.

Fast forward a year, long after I discovered the dedicated twinking communities of different brackets and wrote gear guides for websites, I began to realize the potential impact websites and forums could have. The no-XP patch landed, and twinker games dried up overnight for many brackets. Something remarkable happened -- players began to organize to get games. Players who impressed me with fair and dedicated play on the field started grassroots efforts off the field to get games going again. But I still had my doubts.

As an experiment, I took a leap of faith. 49s seemed to have the players they needed to get games, but just weren't able to get things going. I leveled and geared Cirise (to this day, the most difficult gearing job I've ever had do), and transferred her from my home server in the Bloodlust battlegroup to a Ruin server that housed my Horde 59. Then, I took to the forums.

We set a one week go-live date, with daily posts, to keep players interested and engaged. We called out and acknowledged every player who responded, to show growing numbers. We ignored the naysayers, the “dead bracket iz dead†trolls, and we pushed forward with as much buzz as we could muster. We counted the days, then the hours.

9:13pm EST, on Thursday, January 28th, 2010, the gong sounded for Warsong Gulch. All the work and promotion everyone invested into the bracket finally paid off. We played two or three games that night, and quickly learned that in a fully twinked battleground, 49s were absolutely unforgiving. Even the strongest geared players died in seconds – the burst was insane. We had our work cut out for us.

In the weeks that followed, we learned to adjust to the tremendous burst, which forced us to work together and learn to read teammates and enemies alike. Most importantly, we worked the forums. The stalwart players of the bracket quickly asked for a game night on the near side of the week, so we expanded to Mondays. Sustained buzz made believers out of 49s from other battlegroups, and transfers began making their way to Ruin. Soon we expanded again to Saturdays, both to have a weekend night and to accommodate the international players in drastically different time zones. At a time when many forumgoers foretold the death of twinking, 49s took their place among the revival of the midbrackets. They would go on to lead a multi-bracket revival in 2011.

Beyond the drive to give Cirise the best available edge, Cirise exemplifies what makes twinking in this game worthwhile to me. Complete gear and capped professions are good. Creating the chance to compete with and against dedicated players is better. Understanding the entire ecosystem of XP-off brackets and promoting a playstyle that redefines the limits of the game, is much better.

Best? The best games happen with and against players who work together. Players who push you forward. Who make you argue, laugh, and yell in frustration and exultation. Once in a blue moon you get a random game like this. But if you want to play games like this on a regular basis, you must take responsibility for yourself and your brackets. You show the way. You find the niche where you can make a difference, whether you write guides, train guildies, experiment with new addons – find your voice. The midbrackets live and die by this.

Cirise came to life when I took a chance. With no games going on and no previous experience in 49s, Cirise left home and joined a bracket looking to bring itself out of the ashes. As a player, getting to share in the hard work 49s did to get games led to me getting more involved “off the field†in many brackets. Indeed, if you ask many 49s, they’ll tell you that Cirise is an adequate healer. Maybe even “decent†if they feel charitable in their description. Cirise’s greater contribution arrived off the field.

I believe in giving people the opportunity to push past the boundaries of what we know, and to bring everyone forward. The few who take that opportunity continue to nudge us all forward, bit by bit, game by game, day by day. Cirise remains one of my favorite twinks, because I chose to believe in a bracket that wanted to believe in itself. Timing, dedication, and a little luck came together to create a great experience, and that lesson continues to serve me well in all aspects of my life.
