I disappointed that many ppl missed the point of the games we played this saturday. To give some of the players prospective, i contacted burg around 2 weeks ago or so asking if he was willing to do a 10v10 wsg. I did this after seeing his interest in making vet tournaments, and thought that a great first step would be to get wargames going to bring in more ppl / showcase the bracket / hype things up. At first he said he didnt have a full 10 man roster from his guild, which i said was fine as i didnt have a team at the time and was just going to pick up people and create a date for the game. Luckily everything lined up quite smoothly and the wargame even brought more interest to the point that burg was able to a full team from his guild alone. That was a great sign, i was ecstatic to her that because it really drove home the point i was trying to make with the wargames. To draw more ppl in and gain interest in future games.
Many of the NWA team is looking at this from the wrong angle. First off, losing a 10v10 friendly wargame is nothing to be embarrassed about. No matter how good a player is they can have their bad days. And every team generally has a weaker player. To blame that player like that so immediately is very short sided. You guys couldve just told him to move back 20 yards to have correct positioning. And since u knew he was in-experienced u shouldve been on the offensiveness. Placing dps on "fc babysitting" will only make it harder to land kills unless can counter-push amazingly against the other team. Also ur healers had very poor positioning. Its understandable to have one shammy up front for purge / shears, but u had 2 shamans and ur priest was so far pushed up we killed him 2-3 more times than we should have. After we got a priest kill ur mid just fell apart because ur healers were so pushed up and lacked the instant heal factor of the priest. Next, ur hunters slacked as well. Often tko would go on defense to cut off lenny, but he would stay below tot. Meaning lenny could just kite around tot and not commit and have no chance of dying.Ur team missing a hunter and rog then caused u to slowly lose mid and then we just assisted lenny crossing. Ur hunter being there did almost nothing but stall lenny and give us field position. If he wants to play defense like that he should commit up to lenny to cause him to either drop down or go back into base. Secondly, between both games ur hunter / boomy only wrapped around to go for efc kill once. Yes i understand u felt u needed mid control because of the short-comings of ur fc, but if u dont take that risk u wont be able land a efc kill as easily.
My team played poorly in many other aspects too, im upset that we only got to play 2 games. The funnest thing about losing is having to think up of new strats / plays to overcome that obstacle. I hope next time ppl see loses more of that, than some waste of time and then use a scapegoat for the teams short-comings
