My big new to 11s question thread

Well, you can clean up both Stormsong and Vol'dun from their rares too, but why would anyone put socketed 30 on instead of TW analogues is beyond me. Those are just straight up worse stat-wise even if you don't consider armor diff, and there's no gem that can remedy that. Good source of expulsom tho, probably saved me half a dozen Freehold runs.

Its mainly an experiment im running, I am seeing what the lowest possible str I can get is (without using mail/leather/cloth) Im at 78 right now and still have a couple more TW pieces to switch out and play around with. Then I start gemming. Basically its for science at this point

I'm starting a new 10 monk with your thread. Where did you got material for elemental force?

Also I think there are some WoD trinkets with no primary attributes and cool effects

Edit. Also F2P
I just killed a bunch of mobs in pandaria until I had enough greens to get the essence i needed, the mats for EF are pretty cheap time wise

The way I usually handle this boss on my lvl 10-11 warriors is by NOT charging the boss at the beginning of the fight! That way, your charge is ready the first time you get levitated up in the air, and you will be able to charge right back down to the boss if you respond quickly. If you are lucky, your charge will be ready when the next levitate happens, but it's a little bit RNG.

If you want to skip the boss entirely, the way to avoid being teleported back to the boss when it resets is to run past the boss all the way to the ledge that leads down to the entrance, but DON'T jump down before the boss resets! That way, you won't be teleported back to the boss when it resets. You usually just have to wait for a few seconds at the edge of the entrance-ledge before the boss has reset properly without teleporting you back.

Thats my take on it anyway ;)
Another way to handle is to bring a second toon. It can be another F2P account. If you both engage, you should avoid any reset potential.

Soloing Utgard Keep is proving to be challenging without lifestealing
Why? o.0 Personally I haven't encountered any problems tho I skipped 1st boss (if you carefully pull'n'kill four dudes before him you can safely run around afterwards). Oh and I was doing everything in prot, usually boss was done at 25-30% hp :LUL:

Also you can drag those lil ghouls while running before pulling second boss to heal through Victory Rush off them during the fight.

yeah the second boss is the one that got me, I killed the caster first and he just kept casting while dead xD

Ok, so I changed my mind, thankfully before I got too far in, that I am going to just do a standard STR build instead of going for lowest STR possible, since I am not big into timewalking, other than the gear I want and achievements. So what are the idea haste/crit/vers numbers? I think I saw 28% haste somewhere but I might be mistaken, I am working on JC now

The softcap on secondaries is +30%
So once you hit 30% haste crit will give you more damage.

Also underbog, last boss, does that levitate thing and resets, anyway to effectively solo him?

prior boss in the corner there are mushrooms that lock you in place if you stand at right angle rendering knockup meaningless.
prior boss there is a snake critter that you can use https://www.wowhead.com/item=86586/panflute-of-pandaria on. boss will throw that around instead of you.

dmg from adds that spawn you will have to eat unless you got have range spell lock or hope they wont aggro on spawn.

So after looking at all gear that drops from all the timewalking eras on the dungeon journal, is it feasible to have a set that is all TW pieces without any TBC gear at all? (assuming you were to forego speed gems entirely) I plan on having just enough for speed but it looks like you can get a good set with all TW Pieces over time
