Firstly, you can't have Leg enchant in the Fang set. Secondly, +5 Arcane Resistance reduces the damage of Arcane Shot by 30-60 in the Defias set. I trade 12 int for the +5 Arcane Resistance, which is easily worth.

So if you are going for resistance why not firebanes cloak for explosive?

The stats on the Heirloom cloak will do more for you than the +5 Fire Resistance will do.

I'm not sure where you're getting the arcane resist information from as I don't get nearly that much arcane resist from defias set, and 12 int is pretty insane, but if you say so.

12 int won't do as much as the Arcane Resistance will do. You'll be hit by 10+ Arcane Shots in a Hunter 1v1 easily, and reducing on average 45 damage from each of those you'll be reducing 450+ damage. 12 int won't do 450+ bonus healing or damage for you before the hunter has used 10 Arcane Shots.
