Murloc Oracles Westfall

Good luck to everyone farming for these BOE epics. So far after 2 hours I received 5 greens, and in the party of 5 I was in we saw about 10 Rares and over 40 more greens, one person got an epic.

It seems the drop rate recorded is about 0.9% from Oracles. So far I've found there are 2 encampments that spawn them, usually one contested by Alliance and the other contested by Horde.

Any additional information on these mobs, the loot tables they have, and the actual % of getting a rare or epic upgrade would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone finds a level 29 Foamspittle Staff (Epic) I am willing to purchase, until then I will be farming away and waiting for those elusive Battleground pops.

In this moment, I dont understand the hunting of the purple items ... because I never saw a puple item, which was much better than a blue. Can some1 post a screen pls from a LvL 20 purple item, what be worth to spend [waste?] so many time?

Thx @Funnystrike ... the staff is nice, but you lose the opportunity to enchant the offhand.

Int = 22+11+4 Ench. on the offhand ... = 37 Int like the staff ...
Stam = 6+6 = 12 Stam .. 1 Stam less then the staff ... the difference is not the world
Second Stats = 5+5 = 6 second stats less then the staff ... that is not so little

In my opinion, the staff seems to be a very good item but hard to get or very expensive in the AH. Therefore, I will probably live with the two dungeons item or items to get in the battleground.

What's the difference in epic items for bracer or shoes?

sorry i am a little bit confused. What i heard was that "Unique items that drop from rare enemies in Classic through Mists of Pandaria content now also have a chance to upgrade in quality". But according to wowhead Murloc Oracle is not a rare enemy, although the Foamspittle Staff is uniquely drop from them.

Can someone explain this

Foamspittle staff is bis if epic for many caster

You are forgetting that juicy 16 vers.

2 vers = 1 int give or take.

all the murlocs spawns are linked, so for example if your in the north spot and no one is in the south spot clearing murlocs your spawns will get slowed down alot

"Rare" to blizz is anything that works like they say it will. Stop worrying about it and get some while it's available.

Honestly, i'd be kinda ok even getting a blue one.

You gain 6 second stats more with the Staff, not 16, because on the 2 items you have 10 second stats. And whether Vers. is the best second stat is a question of which char you play and what style of play you have ... the real question is, are the 6 Vers. worth the hours of effort ... without knowing if it works. For me the answer is clearly no, for you [maybe] yes ... and that's ok.

If there is the staff for 20 or 30k gold in the auction house to buy, I'll strike ... but I think the prices are more likely to move in the range of 300k gold [... there are already prices for the item??] ... that's why I'll probably be happy without him ... ;-)

I just don't see any 10 off-stats being better than 16 vers any way you like to play it, unless you just like to do worse.

also too, the only time a 1h/oh would be worth it is if you get both upgraded to epic that have secondaries. To my knowledge there isn't even an offhand with vers (non shield), so even that's kinda stretching it considering vers is the best secondary for just about every class
