Mob grinding to 60.

If I grind mobs to 60 only buying spells along the way will gear upgrades drop from the mobs or will I be stuck in level 15 greens?

Ofc there will be drops along the way, that said you will likely be far behind your Character Level overall.

I did this. It mostly depends on your class and how important gear is. I leveled a warlock just fine and around level 40+ I just looked for Shadow Wrath gear every time I stopped at the AH. Most of the blue gear for locks leveling is often not as good as just some shadow wrath greens.

Only reason I can think of to ask this is if you're running bots.

Naw, even with bots you'd need to go to town might as well check AH while there. Besides I think all bots have been detectable for some time.

Feels like it might be about the challenge.
