So me and @Lionsfury have given farming the belt a shot. So far the testing has been the painful part, so let me walk you through.
1. Don't play 3 wows at once on an old computer with 2 fps, it will cause an overheat :|
2. Don't try to wing it with randoms and then get 30 minute deserter buff.
If you want the http://www.wowhead.com/item=36978/ley-whelphide-belt from http://www.wowhead.com/npc=40446/skarthis-the-summoner or other 2 drops (not socketed, cloth legs or plate bracers for swag only)
What you should do, is this:
Get a full 5/5 party. The more accounts teleports out, the higher chance for drop you have. In our case, I'm running 3 accounts and Lionsfury is running 2, but we only need belt on one each. We queue up (we have alts both as tank and healer spec and 3 dps), enter the dungeon.
On alts, "teleport out of the dungeon". DO NOT leave dungeon group at this point, because you'll get 30 min deserter. Once only the characters that want the loot are in dungeon, run to boss and kill it. It goes down pretty quick, two lvl 20s kill him in ~7 seconds. We did all this sorcery before, because only one person can loot the lizard - and it doesn't matter if it participated in the fight or not, so that's why our alts were teleported out. With just me and lions in the dungeon it was either me or him on our "important" toons that got the drop. After killing the lizard boss, we just left the instance group and queued again. Time from queuing to queuing again after a run was roughly a minute and 30 seconds, so we hit the instance lock pretty fast.
Additional notes:
I don't know if belt or another worthy item drops, so far we've gotten copper and one time a Frostweave Cloth. So there's hope. Belt has 0.6% drop chance according to wowhead.
