Dropping a thanks for this guide as it was very helpful!
Also gonna add in my own tips to this, AKA: "Stuff I wish I knew about sooner".
Gear Checker Cogstar has the blueprints for the
Mechagon Transporter, so you don't have to park your character at Mechagon during the grind.
Gorged Gear Cruncher drops loot every time it's defeated, so it's worth braving that drill event even though it has bugged mobs so long as you have a
volatile blaster to deal with them. It should be noted that the room adjacent to the elite spawn doesn't have any bugged mobs in it so you can safely farm spare sparts and energy cells there, even if you don't go after the Gear Cruncher.
Use
Spark-1351 as close the edge of the 'water' as you can, so when you spawn them all they are all relatively close together and easy to AOE down (and makes it easier to pick up the spare parts as well)
When the quest
One Gnome's Trash is available, farm for
small metal boxes with the rare metal collector and DO NOT open them until you've completed the quest
Discs of Norgannon (when it's available), as this is basically the only way to get
scorched data discs; which of course is a quest item you
DO NOT want to turn in along with
cracked numeric cylinder and
large storage fragment, so you can summon three rare mobs each day. (I don't believe low levels can access the 4th item
rust covered disc but I could be wrong)
Speaking of other quests to
not turn in...
Aid From Nordrassil will provide you with
living sap which you can use on the white mushrooms to spawn
Fungarian Furor every day.
Taking The Air Out will give you a
rocket box that gives you
BOOM-TASTIC 3000 which you can use to take down rares and elites faster. The downside is that it will shoot friendlies/quest givers, but the upside is you can delete the BOOM-TASTIC 3000 and rocket box will remain for you to use it when you want to use it. I find it useful if
Toys for Destruction doesn't provide a good weapon (or just not feel like doing it).
Hope these tips helps other people as well!
