Okay so I was wondering if I was to transfer my lvl 20 twink from my subbed account to a f2p account, would i loose enchants or engi gear or anything? How does that work?

I was thinking if i ever were to stop paying sub, to still be able to play at least one of my twinks that i'm used to.

You dont have to transfer it then. Just turn on xp before your sub runs out and itll still be playable. You'll have whats called a "veteran" account

Accounts with lapsed subscription are not effected by experience banking system.
Only 100% f2p accounts will bank experience past level 20 (up to a cap of level 30)

THe only real reason I was thinking about transfering it to a f2p account is to be safe and foolproof if i were to ever forget to turn on xp in case i forget or just stop playing for some time and my sub expires, so i dont have to resub in order to do it.

They will not transfer your character to or from 100% f2p account.
Thus your only option is to have 2 game licenses with active gametime to transfer one of your characters to and never use that license again for any gametime. Also not foolproofed as you can randomly activate wrong account.
Honestly tho, you overthinking it. Takes like 40k experience to level past level 20. Hardly can happen by accident.

You're probably right, but I know myself, and I've recently leveled up a fully geared and enchanted 29 with proffs to 30 cuz i forgot to turn xp off so... You never know xD

If you got access to any of allied races then it might be best solution for you.
Insta level 20 on any realm. Bis starter gear. Budget for enchants would be bellow 5k in most cases.
Even if you manage to lose one the biggest issue would be re setting all the macros.

You can always take a sticky note and write yourself a message on the back of it (same side as the sticky part) and stick it on the back of your monitor. Have it peek from behind your playing screen to remind you to: "Mind your Twink's XP".
But really, this is a level 20 veteran twink issue only. Most Starter Edition Players are dead set on pure Starter Edition Status, and have those 10 extra levels already banked anyway. All other levels shouldn't ever unlock experience.
