EU+US lvl 20 ilvl 28 boes

Here is my working theory based on comments I’ve seen here and other threads. Probably going crazy trying to over think it.

1) Sounds like gnomer world drops will scale to 20//28 if you’re level 20 as there might be some floor to the item scaling. This is because items are scaling down maybe?

2) World drops and rare zone drops (like magefists) in SFK would follow different scaling rules because the items are scaling up?Sounds like no one has actually confirmed an ilvl28 world/zone drop item on a lv 20 outside of Gnomer. Am still confused on farming on a lv 22+

Im gonna get real sad when im 300 SFK runs in an a lv 15 unscaled magefists drops for my 20.

BTW magefists did drop for my 120 req lv 60/// ilvl 58 or something. The item level was lower than other regular blues that were scaled to 60//ilvl 66 that dropped.

It may be a lot to sift through, but someone posted a screenshot I believe in this thread, of doing a LFG and in SFK some level 22 priest looted an ilvl 28 item. I don't know if that gives you any information, but it could explain why they still exist. Although when searching for the items over the AH, I have found tons of other ilvl (mind you, they go up in increments of 5 ilvls) and I've seen ilvl 33, 38, 43, etc etc and hardly any ilvl 28. It's just really interesting because it could either be because those are high in demand, or they really actually are much less common.

i have personally seen a lvl 23 warrior tank loot off a random trash mob in SFK 20//28 magefist gloves and i got a set of 20/28 feet of the lynx on my f2p rogue in BFD but other than those 2 drops i havent seen any other 20//28 items from world drop just in instances.....not saying they wont drop in world ive only seen them myself inside dungeons

Wailing Caverns is good for magefist/stormbringer/lynx feet as of what I’ve seen, all dropped in the last 2 months
a guy got lynx in stockades

and I bought starsight tunic from a level 24 who said it was a world drop

but yeah I’m interested in the details of the ftp rogue looting one in bfd. Any chance you remember if it dropped off Blindlight Murloc/Oracles, specifically one holding a sack on its shoulder after that one boss?

a guildie dropped a 28 lynx off one of the mobs near Dom

I know I said at one point recently (I can't remember exactly where) that there has been no confirmed drops while being carried by higher lvls afaik, but I totally forgot about this. This happened in August 2019.

yeah sorry it happened a long time ago and I don't think they took the time to find out which mob in particular it dropped from. GL on your testing let us know what you find.

@ohti probably nearing 150 runs of dungeons soon with high level + looter
70+ in Stockades, rest mixed in SFK WC BFD

in stockades i was multiboxing 3 level 23 arcane mages with a monk that would gather all mobs with statue then drop group while i kill on the mages, so the monk wouldnt get any loot at all. kinda gave up but ill get at it again.

i did 10 hours of Stormpike Engineer (hillsbrad hyperspawn) with a monk and 3 24 druids also. the monk got 5 blues and druids none

i was the one that actually looted those boots....i looted the boss first but the boots came from one of the caster acolytes or w/e just b4 Domina

Magefist just dropped for my 20 in sfk but it was ilvl 23 so I think u need to farm it on a lvl 23 in that instance for it to scale to 28

Well if u farm it on a 23 isn’t 100% going to drop as 28 rather than 50/50 chance?

1. Weapons drop at lvl x2 and x7 not x5 and x0
2. SF is a zone drop not a world drop and can drop at any level with +6 ilvls not +8.

Only world drops have potential to scale to 28. Zone drops scale to 26. (Mindthrust, Shadowfang, etc.)
