Lvl 10 Fury Twinks are now bannable?

I was insta perma banned mid Wrath Timewalking dungeon today on my brand new Fury twink I made 3 days ago named Movingon-Wyrmrest Accord. Appeals were ignored and 13 years of my life on that game is now gone forever.

Are there any channels via this website to get a personal review of this? I don’t use any macros, I was not grouped up with anyone, I did not talk in chat or abuse any other players. I was queuing solo in timewalkers to farm the Timereaver mount chance, purely. I queued in, completed the dungeon with whirlwind and dropped group every single time. No grouping, no monetary transactions, no boosting, nothing. Just me trying to get a mount by clearing it swiftly.

The only addons I use are Bigwigs, Narcissus, Plumber, very light weakauras for cosmetic purposes like spell pro, Mapster, ElvUi, Masque, nothing else whatsoever. No external programs, no third party Ui overlays etc, no multiboxxing etc.

I’m a simple disabled guy with Multiple Sclerosis who just plays WoW each week and thought lvl 11 Fury was fun so I made it and gave it a literal spin with whirlwind and now my almost 13 year old account since 2012 is poofed with no appeal chance after three days of queueing about 50+ timewalkers total. Using a class with natural gear received from queueable content and no outside help. I did not abuse WoD trinket bugs, my gear is visible on armory by name. It’s all natural gained and enchanted.

I requested my data from Blizzard via another post on here to see what evidence they have about my account and I’m willing to provide virtually anything within reason to get this account back. This is crushing and sad and happened so swiftly with no reconciliation or assistance.

I’ve been researching for hours about recent Twink bans this year and multiple community figureheads have experienced it first hand, none of which have been overturned so I think I’m screwed at this point.

As someone with not much happiness left in life after my crushing disability this game gave me a lot of happiness and this sucks.

I’m not at all motivated to remake a 15 year old journey whatsoever sadly so if this doesn’t have a solution it’s curtains on WoW for me, period. I was about to hit 30,000 achievement points this week and almost 700 mounts, I was very accomplished in my collections.

I understand many people say Weakauras is a risky one but with how popular it is especially in publically sponsored World First races I find it unlikely that was the cause after 10 years of me using it. But within 3 days of playing my first ever twink I’m perma banned somehow, feels like a direct correlation.

More than likely, I just encountered a few too many pugs in the timewalkers who didn’t like the twinking and reported me for hacking out of spite, resulting in the squelch ban. Despite me not doing anything wrong inherently, this was an automated ban of epically wrong proportions and it’s astronomically anguishing in many ways.

I understand nobody here can really do anything except offer condolences and suggestions but I was just so flabbergasted by this fumble I need some traction on it to attract a miracle. I’m completely lost at this point. I appreciate the understanding.

Yes I can only imagine have s similar story and account 20k achs, never farmed them just been playing since I was a kid. I hope it gets resolved try to distance yourself and set email notifications for your ticket if possible.

Sorry to hear that happened to you, makes me a little hesitant to que with my characters now. I only really run three mods: Rarescanner for pinging rare mobs, Details to keep track of damage, and an instance tracker to keep track of my lockout timers.

For my part I try to be reasonable with how I run my twinks in the LFG: I allow the group to catch up/loot. I wait at bosses if they stray way too far behind. I'll double back of they pull extra things from behind. I'll comment on broken low level scaling if they've never seen a low level twink before (never thought about it before, but that would make people less likely to think it's hacking and report me for such), this often causes the other players to speak up about twinking in general, and sometimes the conversation expands into curiosity about it and answering any questions they have should they want to give it a shot. Even on a very quiet run I'll drop a "gg" before I drop the group. If I didn't roll as tank I will always let the designated tank set the pace of the run.

Though despite all of this I do run into people who are upset that twinking is a thing at all, and I can imagine some people doing reports about hacking involved, and the fear of that potentially leading to a ban.

Best of luck to you, I hope you can somehow get through to a real person at customer support and get your account back.

I appreciate all of you, suggestions and all. Clearly I was too fast and loose with new twinking and I lost it all as a result. It’s very discouraging that something supported in-game with an NPC dedicated to disabling XP would lead to a permanent ban like this

I would hope one day we don’t have to play the game on constant eggshells over being abused and banned permanently over misunderstandings and miscarriages of justice.

I see your not alone in this other twinks have been banned, some will be unbanned once a human moderates what was hacking and exploits and who was just playing the game etc

Yep, happened same to me yesterday. I was in the middle of timewalking dungeon with some random people when all of a sudden i got disconnected and banned.
I opened appeal immediately and its now 13 hours since and still no response. To be clear, I have never engaged in any form of cheating or anything, even multiboxing or shit like that. Anyway, it was my 15 year old account with everything on it. I am beyond disappointed in Blizzard. This is the attachment i got in email:

Lmao. Lets see how this works for you

if anything their bot will pick this up as abuse and flag your account as hostile and not eligible for a response

Blizzard is diabolical.

Im sorry to see this happen.

Unfortunately, this is not an official blizzard forum and nobody from blizz reads these forums (we dont think) and nobody here is a blizzard employee. All we have is some combined years of experience and that may be helpful. Or not. Blizzard customer service isnt what it was.

You gotta be a bit of a lawyer about this these days so, in your response do not admit to any kind of add-on or program usage even if its a normal, every day add-on like details. Just dont. Dont admit to any hardware setups that are out of the ordinary. I see you have MS so anything youve got setup to ease your pain or discomfort may also be seen as cheating.

Its essentially like dealing with the cops. Dont tell them anything you dont absolutely have to and then shut the fuck up.

Make sure your response is short, clear, polite and to the point. Blizzard customer service is mostly outsourced and (apparently) heavily guided by AI these days. Ask, politely, for your case to be escalated. If they don't, you can also ask for a lighter punishment.

And then just wait and hope. Briefly running through some forum posts, it looks like a preemptive ban wave, likely automated by reports and probably some "if someone finishes a dungeon in X time, its suspicious" anti cheat thing. We have seen these before where a wide net is cast by automation and then actual humans get to looking at things and these bans get overturned entirely or just dropped from permas to a couple months. If you rage out in your appeal, that it far less likely however.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes!

I havent been banned but this has me worried. Lots of hours invested on the twink, but more importantly 2 decades invested on the account.
I also queue for TW solo, havent boosted any other account, dont have weakauras installed, and havent tried any macros to get around the XP penalty.

My concern is if you get caught in a blanket ban, the appeal process is virtually non existent. Automated responses that mean absolutely nothing.

**puts back on full TW gearset w/o sockets**

I got as many twinks as I do 80s, if I lose the account for using timewalking gear that'll it be it for me and my run since release. Not going to stop enjoying the game because of it though. It will just be "the end".

probably also worth pointing out (though it seems obvious to me) people very likely arent being banned for what theyre doing the moment that they catch the ban. Far more likely that the bannable action was also a past action.
