Low Level Problems + Solutions

Kore, I'd really like you to explain such a thing, Needing BoA. You guys totaly misconcept BoA. There's no where in-game where you NEED BoA. You WANT BoA, but you don't NEED them. You can do anything in this game, such as, leveling, PvPing exp-on or exp-off, Quest, Instance, Heal, Tank, Dps, Farm gold, dance in Stormwind, Duel, Die or more without BoA. BoA were implented like a bonus for those with extra points wanting to buy something useful, for those who level over and over and have points scattered over every toon. I know a lot of people who got several main capped without BoA, BoA aren't needed to level. You guys want them to twink your toon, because the point of twinking is to get BiS and then argue on the fact that's it's boring since it's a grind? You aren't forced to get them. No where, No where, blizzard is forcing you to get them. You WANT something, you'll have to work something. If BoA were Needed (I dunno, exemple, to get an extra level) Then it would be different since everyone would NEED them and grinding would be fucking retarded.

To as good as you possibly can at WoW, you need the best possible gear. For level 19s, that's BoA; so yes, you do NEED BoA to fulfil the definition of a Twink. A maxed out character, via Items and Enchants that most levelers don't take the time to get, in a certain PvP Bracket lower than endgame.

To as good as you possibly can at WoW, you need the best possible gear. For level 19s, that's BoA; so yes, you do NEED BoA to fulfil the definition of a Twink. A maxed out character, via Items and Enchants that most levelers don't take the time to get, in a certain PvP Bracket lower than endgame.

So there is no NEED for YOU to have BoA either, then, and so they might as well be flushed through the toilet then.

It's perfectly natural to have discussions about OP'ness and certain game-features becoming too 'dominant' (ie displacing all other features/content) in games that thrive on a certain variety and a measure of competition.



Games like Magic: The Gathering and their lists of Banned/Restricted cards are a perfect example - and as a whole players can (or at least: could, haven't been competing in ages) talk about these kinds of changes without getting cramped.



And to restrict it to Twink BG's - which, again, isn't the primary point of the OP - like LLare said: for Twink BG's you need to strive for BiS and so BoA's, with all the complecations of their procurement, enter the picture, and so it's perfectly legit within this context also to discuss wether or not BoA should remain BiS, or not.

imo... make a new pvp vendor that sells gear that gives people in BG's ONLY high stats so they can settle the OP BoA gear problem. lvl 19+ twinks can chose any gear that looks different but some same stats. it will make BG's more fun and way cooler looking. and once a BG is over if you have the gear still on the stats wont work just like the shulder, helmet, and leg enchants that dont work on 19s any more but you can still have it on as an enchant. blizzard can take PvP a large step forward if they really think.

BG only items bought with Honor would be amazing, but it would require a lot of work from blizzard, I doubt this would happen anyway

You are merely arguing semantics now, but I will humour you.

• You know as well as I do that to be a BiS twink you need BoAs and since part of twinking is getting the best possible gear you debatably need BoAs.
  
• You need to be BiS if you wish to get the best possible chances of getting onto a premade team. Having the major boost to stats will greatly enhance your chances of getting onto the team
  
• You need BoAs to get able to effectively compete in leveling xp-on pvp. Without them you are at a large disadvantage and your leveling time significantly increases
  
• And the most base need of all in WoW is better gear, regardless of reason. The "need before greed" system is designed to work so that those that consider the drop an upgrade get the item because they "need" it. By Blizzards own definition twinks need BoAs

Despite all this, I feel that this is a wasted arguement. Regardless of whether you need them or not, they are still a major part of the game. With them in their current implementation those that need/want them have to grind to get them, and they are only "free" to those that only consider them a minor perk. It is also undeniable that they are causing major imbalance in xp-on BGs.
