Might make a bit a difference outside instanced PvP. In instanced PvP mot so much.
It still would be a nice item to get just in case. You never know when the game is going to change.
As an example, look at what has happened in the recent years. We have had x0-x4 and x5-x9 brackets merge, scaling has taken place in instanced PvP, re-introduction of arenas at lower levels, gained access to ALL enchants, merging of XP locked and XP unlocked brackets(something no one thought ever happen)...
I can't even begin to list all the unpredictable changes that have happened to all of Twinkdom since I started playing WoW way back in 2005.
The only thing I can predict is that if we can get that neck piece and you don't get you will eventually one day regret not doing so if you continue to play WoW.
Isn't that officially the rarest item in the game? Would be quite the coupe to see it on a f2p.Are none of you gonna talk about the big rocket in the room? XD
It would be very nice to have again an event where we can farm Titanforged like the Legion pre-event(i'm still missing some 35 ilvl pieces in my main), but a shorter event with better drop rates for TF, not an entire month cause its insanely annoying.
That said, I really hope they can warforged or something, because I think it's base version might not be worth the boa necklace trade-off.
It's a pretty big deal to us non vets for whom the necklace would be a marginal ilvl improvement but a massive stat improvement over the JC neck, on which a good deal of stat allocation is lost to useless stats.
How could I forget? Spent over 3 years as f2p.
But JC necklaces have a special place in my heart... since the release of loom necks they were one of the last F2P defining items. Full gear is Legion warforged, bis rings are blue from pvp boxes.. but at least the neck was still really, really f2p - from a profession. Always loved that we got different BiS items from different activities. Professions, PvP, PvE, quests...
That being said I won't say no to stats and achievement :>
I feel this. Like, the defining f2p items have pretty much disappeared. It's sad, in a way.
Don't forget our level 60 trinkets that are no longer obtainable, though! That and the Band of Argas are both probably going to survive into the future as BiS items.
But I agree that it feels strange - I had to do SO MUCH to get gear for my druid (which I've had since Cataclysm), even having separate sets for "max intellect for healing using a mix of cloth and leather" and "max stamina leather gear for flag carry". It's all sitting in bank slots now...
...and meanwhile my priest (which I've had since a few months ago) is just chilling with the level 25 vendor wand and the level 30 vendor rings, having done exactly zero work to obtain gear that is functionally BiS.
