Thought I would share my opinions, I think some may agree.

I remember a day when Laughing Skull FTW put in motion that Horde would not camp Alliance GY.... Seems like every game now the horde push mid, then sit in front of the alliance GY...

Farming GY proves absolutely nothing. Specially when the horde play face roll classes... Boomkinx2 Hunterx4 Resto shammyx2 Discx1

Sooo then the people that dont like it , Transfer and add more to the horde population leaving less twinks on alliance...


Have some respect. We all enjoy this bracket and we want it to grow ... But we are, are own worst enemy.
 
Hk's prove nothing..... Lets do 2s and see how well your farmed HK's do you.
 
It happens on both factions, I dislike it very much so. I have to agree though it leans more towards the horde side. I try to just leave the GY we are camping cause it isn't fun for me but sometimes I just don't care and will sit at it. :/

They farm hks for honor too. Even though there is no honor in camping but you will be awarded 1 honor point per kill anyway

these threads should stop happening one day.... i guess its always a new disgruntled player who hasnt been around in awhile who does it.

those of us who actually have a penchant for 19s & or twinking in general, are going to play them regardless & make more, and likely aren't having our future decisions regarding twinks/playing twinks determined whatsoever by the state of 19 battleground pugs, in general I would think.. 19s have experienced daily farming forever

To this day my guild's anti GY farming policy is the first thing you will read in the guild info. Has been since as long as I can remember. I haven't been around as much so I hope the new GG 19 recruits actually take this to heart without me drilling it into their ear. The fact that games have a time limit now truly lessened the misery caused by GY farming compared to, say, several years ago. And like everyone has said, it happens on both sides. We need more people to step up and take a stand against it - i.e. players on the dominating faction switching over to their twinks on the opposing side to even out the competition.

Real talk, the best games are close calls - When it comes down to the wire is when shit gets real in the gulch. A toss on either side is boring. I hate getting farmed and I hate farming.. It's not fun.

Edit: Really good games are few but they exist. The hunt for quality games struggles on..
 
I don't have a problem with it as long as the other team is actively trying to get 3 caps. It can help end the lesser quality games more quickly and give players a chance to get into a better quality game sooner. A lot times you see the losing side with good players but bad classes comps. Getting contained til 3-0 usually lets these people know that its time to switch classes/sides. Now if you're going to gy farm and not 3-0 cap on purpose that's another story.
 
I don't know why people are still complaining about GY farming. GY farming has not been a thing in this bracket for a long time. Most 19s enter WSG with the goal of 3-0ing the opposing team as fast as possible. I can't remember the last time a player in this bracket has held the flag, instead of capping it, so that his team could farm. If that was to happen, I can guarantee you that the player's team would report him AFK to try and get him kicked so they could cap the flag and win the game.

People who complain about farming don't realize just how good of a state pugs are in right now - community and competitiveness wise.
 
A lot of people fail to recognize the tangible difference between a containment and a farm.

It's called containing after all ^.^

Containing is like a shorter version of farming, but games are only 15 minutes long these days, back in the farming days they were a bit longer.

Having certain players swap sides is essentially artificially boosting the quality of pugs, that is an attractive quality of a bracket to a new twink.

I completely agree with what Pizza and Conq said, I just prefer games that aren't washes (in either direction) and don't personally enjoy containing as a pug strategy (premades are a different story)

Like Pizza said, containment doesn't happen like it used to. And even if one side gets contained, with an organized push, the containted team can easily turn it around on the containing team, mainly because the containing team is gonna be spread thinner (mana issues on healers, boomkins breaking away for picks, farmed team has better LoS with fencing, etc.). On top of that, Horde is definitely not the only one containing - In fact, most players in 19s play on both factions (which means players that do and don't contain could be on both sides making it possible on either faction)

Edit/Tl;Dr: OP is making incorrect assumptions about horde
