Both 110 and 111 are viable for IE farming.

If you’re looking for more of a challenge than I recommend 110 simply because getting gear will take more time.

Like someone said above the benefit of a 111 is instant 233 gear + gems and enchants from BFA begin to truly scale. I think my 110 rogue has +9 haste on gems whereas my 111 death knight has +30 (same gems).

I have 2 111s and a 110 and all 3 are fun and good at farming.

So really it comes down to if you want more of a challenge or not with gearing.


Edit: Also consider that once you level to 111 you cannot directly queue for legion content anymore (such as heroics, LFR, etc.).

Do your own group or ask a 120 friend to at least start the group for you.
I am organizing my own groups every thursday (today was our 3rd run) with people from several discord channels and we always clear 11/11 on Mythic. I am 267ilv atm

Are you US or EU? If you are US I would like to try to join. DH Havoc or Veng, but prefer Havoc. 243 ILVL atm, but working on finishing all BfA zones.

I started a DH project last month where I was going to take 2 of my DHs and make one a 110 and the other a 111. Real life and other alts has derailed that project, but my goal was to show the difference between the two, and how good 111 can be if you do it right.

My 111 is not finished, but even with 285 azerite armor his eye beam hits insanely hard. I've commented on this in other threads, but the best part of 111 is all the gems/enchants give full BfA values. That means 40 secondary stats (or 9% leech for Siphoning wep enchant). Compare that to the 11(?) stats you get from gems at 110 and it doesn't take an expert to see the potential for full sockets. Also, as mentioned before, the alchemy trinket can fill the survival gap nicely with that large heal on kill.

I will continue to work on them both and post a detailed comparison once I get my 110 DH a bit more gear.
