1. Is there a way to get to Legion Dalaran without starting Legion intro quest - i.e., will flying directly above Karazhan phase me into Legion Dalaran? And if so, will the prerequisite quest(s) get flagged as completed?

no, intro quests take a couple minutes and then you can skip them on every other toon on the account. no reason to not do them

2. Can F2P accounts still unlock Chromie Time using a class trial character after yesterday's patch (source)?

if you try to create a class trial on a f2p account, it starts as level 1

3. If John, for example, who doesn't have Chromie Time unlocked groups with Jane who does, can Jane put John into Burning Crusade timeline so that he can queue for Burning Crusade dungeons by himself?

4. If I open a Crate of Battlefield Goods with auto loot disabled, can I choose to only loot Mark of Honor, for example, and then delete the crate (so that I don't collect appearances of the green gear)?

5. If I queue for a random battleground and then win, is it still possible to win something other than a Crate of Battlefield Goods like a blue gear, for example? If so, will the appearance of the blue gear automatically appear in my appearance tab? I remember seeing people who automatically received loot (and no crate) after winning a random battleground so this is reassuring.

blue gear comes from crates and is an automatic upgrade

this is the game registering the reward from their previous game. If you win a crate and dont open it until the next game, it will register its contents as a reward for your current game.

6. If I'm in a dungeon group and disconnect at the final boss and the group kills it while I'm not logged in, will I still receive its loot via mail but not earn the achievement for completing the dungeon?

How about on a veteran account? I saw that a class trial starts at level 47 or 48. Can I just level it to 50? Sorry for the troubles: I don't have a machine to install WoW at the moment.

they start like pretty normal questions with a degree of reasonability even if you could reason your way to then answer but then takes a sharp turn towards the tinfoil hat around 4 for no apperant reason.

You can access those later at any time, i think in Dragynslayer’s dungeon hero guide there’s a description on how to do that.

To be fair, I would guess its because some ppl hate when they have to scroll trough a lot of transmog pages when they want to switch between two or three prefered setups,or just not be tempted to change an already pre-existing set. Shave a few seconds while farming destiny or socketed WoD drops.

Q7: is there a way to disconnect, while dead, near the mailbox in Darnassus and have the items enter my inventory without opening the mailbox? Perhaps my monitor and mouse can also be disconnected

This is correct. I'd like to keep my achievement score as low as possible while having good gear.

This thread has made me realize I am much weirder than I thought I was.
