Agreed. It only worked for me because I had the toy to begin with. (Unsubbed vet who was active during MoP when new scholo was in the rotation.) I'm more saying that an instance cleared by a normal group running through it won't have any more troublesome enemies to either interact with Eva or to grab the book in slate's room. Queuing and asking is more of an option if nothing else is working.

If someone can help with the event at some point it would be greatly appreciated, as it would likely save a 2 digited amount of hours.

I'm NA and have the toy, but don't have a sub. If someone can help connect a group I'd be happy to help.

Practically speaking, though, you'll be much better served hopping on a related discord or something like that and asking people on there. The simple fact that they're on at the moment instead of having to coordinate timing over a message board should make the whole thing go more smoothly.

Not an untrue statement. Gpu is borked atm tho. I'll see if I can get someone from Discord or throw one of the guys who said they'd be willing to lend a hand a request. I'm EU.

Nice, you can continue to unlock old naxx. You will not be to go inside as lvl 20, but does not hurt to have it unlocked just in case. Once you do, you are able to collect scourge stones from stratholme, even in timewalking.

Managed to eventually get someone to use the toy after using the dungeon finder with chromie time on cataclysm. A hunter was nice enough to take the 2 minutes to do the thing. So I have lifestealing as well on a pure f2p

Also, I had to manually right click on the item to combine the mats into the trinket.

And, for anyone still working on this, I can now confirm that you do indeed need the 5 x Essence of Undeath and 3 x Dark Runes to repair the Inert Spectral Essence.
I removed all mats from bank and inventory and I couldn't repair it.

Followup question for this. In theory there's nothing stopping F2Ps from completing the step where we unlock Naxx by speedrunning Strat, but watching videos of people completing the achievements the max levels were tight on time towards the end. Are there any good twink builds to move fast and kill everything faster, or is the ability for high levels to ignore trash and one-shot everything mandatory?

Maybe, since materials for some uses (but not all, e.g. Simple Flour for Darkmoon Faire's Putting the Crunch in the Frog etc.) can be either in your Bank, Reagent Bank or Warband Bank, rather than on your person, people maybe just haven't noticed they had/used them.

That said, I am having a real problem with materials in general for this whole Lifestealing shenanigans:

Dark Rune - Relatively plentiful, so not a problem. (However weirdly I never noticed they existed until this.)

Essence of Undeath - Slow but doable. Need them for the whole process, plus the enchant once it's dropped.

Living Essence - For the actual enchant only. If I didn't have one in my bag (possibly from a recent Dire Maul run) I'd swear it doesn't actually exist outside the auction house, which obviously sans-sub I can't currently see. I've farmed lots of ways following Wowhead advice, but not one has dropped when I've actually tried to farm it.

Any up to date tips, before I try more out of date Wowhead advice in the hope something's back to being current?

(BTW If anyone wants several hundred Inert Elemental Grain I can spare some. )

I tried Corrupted Darkwood Treant a little more scientifically, so for 30 minutes in "present" & 30 "before the invasion" by talking to Zidormi. If it makes any difference I was in Shadowlands Chromie Time.*

Here's what I got (empty bags at start):

With one Inert Elemental Scintilla or Inert Elemental Particle dropping from each one, as well as a few other greens & greys, that's 537 kills yet zero drops. I'm concluding Living Essence doesn't drop from these guys.

* Am I missing something? I'm wondering if the The Chromie Time or otherwise makes a difference to what drops. I'll try others.

2023 when everything had to be done on each player, pre warband bank, while herbing in WPL on a F2P account got asked if i want to tag along for old scholo/strat/naxx unlock line. i picked up LS formula, and had the old scholo option unlocked for all my other players

living essence was the show stopper. i went to places where i farmed them in the past, 100s of kills and no drops, CATA also removed my OG farm spot in EPL. i found wowhead and old drop rates were way off, in some areas near nonexistent to insanely rare what used to be common in van wow and BC. no one in the comments mentions DM, or Maradon which i remember doing LFD would see them drop.

in 2023, i got LS ench on three F2P 20s, with ooze trink i farmed DM capital gardens, no bosses have to be killed unless you need and can DE the blues, place is killer for herbs, DE mats, living essences, undeath one too.

when classic TW is up again, after you get the dungeon done with a group. log out and wait 30 min to relog. use classes that can kill the tree and eldreth mob groups. kill the two optional bosses and tree boss if you need large brilliant shards from DEing. i did 16 LS scrolls last week, only thing i'm ended up short on this time was essence of undeath which stopped me from doing more. i will start the DM farm again tomorrow. i will try 20 druids who have the ooze to see if they can solo the eldreth mobs. i have also gotten undeath from skeleton mobs that are on the upper level that are in two clusters, but also mixed with NE mobs up there

I farmed Living Essence in Dire Maul - Capital Garden. Clear the trees in 1st room and reset. 1-3 per run

Apologies should be mine - I did do the hour on Felspore Bog Lord - but pasted in your post after a long day & got my mobs mixed up. (I did a couple of Treants, but nothing of interest dropped.)

So no damage done. I'll edit my post.

I think Dire Maul (DM) Capital Gardens seems the way to go. Slow but better & I'll keep track.
