Legion Invasion gear a bit op maybe?

In my humble opinion i feel like its time to scale down the legion invasion gear. I started twinking 2 months after the legion pre patch. and having someone being that much stronger then me and there is nothing i can do about it, i feel that is unfair. Seeing as there is no gear that is equal or better then the invasion gear. Im all for transmogs etc being unobtainable but if i am for ever going to be 30% weaker then someone else cuz they played 2 months before me, i feel as though that is unfair..... I mean the invasion gear has been BiS now since it came out 2 years ago. Maybe its time for it to be scaled down to regular epics that are obtainable. or in some ways give others a chance to obtain the same or equal gear. Just my opinion though. For those that have it will be against me but come on, u have to see my point? Its been bis for 2 years. Would be a shame if it would be bis in the new xpac aswell.
in bgs if u have the invasion gear you are basicly a god amongst men. And you have atleast like 500hp more etc then everyone else. I love twinking and being able to reck noobs aswell. But what i am saying is that it would be nice if atleast everyone that wanted to twink and reck noobs would have the same oppurtunity to do so. Just my opinion though.

I have the full set, yet I feel like it removes the customization part of twinking. can no longer go full "glass cannon" because the stats on the fel gear is too good...

Twinking isn't about being fair. A lot of us spent hours grinding that dumb event to get full warforged or titanforged so that we would have an upperhand and bragging rights. Just because we have more stats isn't a basis for nerfing the gear - we earned it.

Hardly op, the pieces that are BIS (which isnmt all of them) are good, like any bis item, but not stupidly broken in anyway, we're talking 1-2 mains stat higher and often with undesirable secondaries, especially with the ilvl reduction. I can sympathise with some peoplers frustration with being unable to get now unobtainable gear but there is a stark contrast between this, items that have been designed for usage by whatever level the item allows and bullshit items that come as a resault of obvious oversight/bugs etc that werent designed for the intention of the people that advocate for them.

I have the full PROPER set on one shaman

I have total legion trash gear on my other shaman

The difference is seriously quite minimal, it's all in how you play your class

Pretty much all the pieces are bis with some exeptions ofc. And yes twinking isnt fair. But twinks should have the same upportunities in my opinion. Twinking has always been about recking non-twinks since vanilla.

And yes i agree with the fact that you earned it by grinding that one event. But what im trying to say is that blizzard should let those that want to earn it like you did, a chance to do so. Give people an oppurtunity to level the playing field. Non twinks will always get fked anyways

Invasion gear has been nerfed accordingly and followed the scaling curve.
The fact that you didn't put any effort in to getting them is on you. nothing unfair in it. that is just life.

You never will be older than the guy who was born one day before you as long as you both alive.

You definitely can. But its a lot harder to justify losing the secondaries for extra int/stam when the gear is better.

Twinking is different things for different people. It may be about wrecking non-twinks for you, but for a lot of people its the skill of twink v twink and gear that rarely changes more than each new expac.

That being said, they really are not BiS for most pieces. Everyone is going to have an engineering head. BoA shoulders are the only ones that can be enchanted. Same for BoA legs. Many classes will want BoE gloves for glove reinforcements (maybe...I actually don't know where that scales to now). Some of the weapons have mastery, which makes them meh. Ranged weapon needs to be BoA to get the good enchant. Someone with a full set is looking at chest/wrist/belt/boots and maybe weapon depending on the class. Invasion gear is good, but it ain't that good.

I also have a full set, and it does not make a big difference. What DOES make a difference is having Ele Force x2 on an Outlaw Rogue. There is a BIG difference between a non Ele Force ORogue vs one with Ele Force. I know it might peeve you for not having BIS, but these are GFed items and with the Stat Squish the difference between BiS and non-BiS is so small its laughable.

Just try this. make a new twink. gear it the best way possible. Go toe to toe vs someone with full invasion gear.
When you have the advantage of being way stronger then anyone else ofc you dont want others to be as strong.
My point still stands though. Make it so that all those who pay their sub. have an oppurtunity to level the playing field. and earn their gear etc. Regular players or levelers wont do it anyways. Only those who wish to twink.

Link your twink. If you're getting crushed its not because of invasion gear. You may have shitty gear elsewhere or are just getting outplayed.

Yes, of course you get opposition because you are a new tink vs old tinks. If you spend alot of time gearing your tink and this is the ultimate conclusion from your findings ( that you are being held back by not being BiS ) then maybe I would consider your rant worthy of consideration.
