I feel like a list should be made categorizing specs. List 1 could have powerful specs, list 2 could have average specs, and list 3 could have UP specs. If a team wants to bring an OP spec, they have to bring an UP spec. Over 70% of specs would fall into avg, we just really don't need 2x hpals or hpal/rdruid sitting at the top because of bad sportsmanship.

Mia, last I played, trust me, the majority of the games ended well before the 15 minute limit. I speak from experience, having fought dozens of different 2s comps on korgath back in the day. Of course I imagine that may be different for newer players who dont CC properly, in which case it could very well be never-ending. However most people get the hang of it after a couple days.

Even if they don't reach the 15 min limit, lets say 10 mins, its still pretty long :O

ban hunter/feral and eyepatch for rogues and let warriors, pallies and shamans etc keep it.

Hey Oldspike, I was wondering since I already cant get the eyepatch so I figured to make a enh panda horde shammy but then I read "we cant use more than 2 BoA's so um how am I supposed to even do any dmg ????

The shoulder and chest boa are much more primordial then the maces because the stats are more needed but then if I cant get to venerable maces of McGowan the DPS will be rlly low :mad:

Sounds weird to me that eyepatch is banned and LFH is not, because in a week of gearing you can easily get eyepatch and a lot of bis gear, but LFH is just luck based. It'd be a big advantage for those who happen to be lucky enough to get it. Or maybe I didn't read all and it said somewhere that LFH isn't allowed / gearing isn't in action during fishing contest or some shit. Anyways, just my 2 cents.

I'm confused. Why do we have to make our character again if we already have chars on Korgath? As long as we meet your requirements for gear etc, shouldn't it be okay? Also, if you're going to allow P2Ps (IE they will gear far quicker than F2Ps) it really doesn't make sense to have this rule.

Also, as someone who is not using Rifle Eyepatch (I play casters) I really don't think you should ban it. It's not a HUGE upgrade at all and I can guarantee that the extra stats are not going to be game breaking.At the least, I want to stress that if you enjoy arenas and plan on STAYING on Korgath and doing arena OUTSIDE of the tournament, pick up your Eyepatch (and just remove it for the tourney)

Also, can we have multiple teams by the same person as long as they are different characters? A few of us like multi-classing so it would be awesome if this was cool.

I have developed a love for arenas since I've been doing arenas on ptr. I'll make a toon on Korgath, NE hunter.

Wait - one week to gear? And "only" two BoAs per toon? Sounds like this strongly favors p2p20 or people who have an enormous amount of free time lol.

Peronally I like the way it's currently set now where people are usually pre-boa if everyone else doesn't have them. I also don't really want to have to make a new toon every time a season starts but if the majority wants this then I suppose I'll do it.

Also, I just finished some 2's arenas with Frostrole, Flashyflash, and Coumarini on Korgath Alliance. First arena games in 1.5 years (and back then it was on 3.3.5 19 twink servers). Was an absolute blast.

Hopefully more people roll over here for some Goldshire duels and arenas.

The few rules that there are have reason.

No Eyepatch doesnt only effect leather wearers but effect mail wearers as well. Not using it is a attempt to balance things out for cloth users.

No AGM, another attempt to balance things. It wouldnt be fair to everyone else if someone that knew 90s on the server farmed it and used it in arenas, or someone who had more time on their hands than other people.

Only two heirlooms. a safegaurd against people botting or who ave more time than others. Farming two heirlooms in a weeks time would already be difficult, and two heirlooms is enough to have a advantage over others if you chose to farm it.

Characters being started at only beginning or after the start of the season is to create a level playing field. If someone used a toon already created on Korgath, for that week they would only have to worry about heirlooms and LFH.


With all this talk about the few rules that there are... I have YET to have any teams sign up for the event... if you are looking for a partner post your information here, an example being:

I didnt want there to be any rules when I was first thinking about this, but I changed my mind when I started talking to people who where going to participate.

Overall though, I don't see much reason to complain about the few rules that there are anyway... this is the F2P bracket is it not? Adapt.
