So, I haven't seen anything about this yet - but I just read about it on MMO-champion:



Kalu'ak Fishing Derby

A new fishing contest is available, the Kalu'ak Fishing Derby (Every Wednesday) - "The Kalu'ak hold a fishing derby every few days in Northrend. Be the first to catch a Blacktip Shark and win respect with the Kalu'ak, and an amazing prize!"

Anyone have any neat, mischievous ideas about this? :p If Blizzard is lame, which they are a lot of the time, they will not put any cool rewards, and really they are just adding this to make it easier for homos to get the Salty title...But what if there is some new rewards? New and improved wotlk-enchantable hat/boots from the rare feesh? Uhhh?



I doubt it'll be anything for us - but it's worth looking into imo.



p.s. - lol@it being on Wednesday...wonder if people in school will be able to do it, or will blizzard still put it at like 2:00 PM XD

I read this too, waiting for rewards before I blog about it. I really hope the reward is NOT Kalu'ak rep or else we're all doomed.

I wouldn't mind some new gear from a fishing contest. maybe gloves this time?

you reallly want more fishing based items?! its the most god aweful method of handin out loot ever! Sure even if it is an upgrade of a BiS every1 will have it so there will be no difference from before this new gear was brought out, assuming there will be new gear. Everyone will be the same, respective to everyone else, as they were before just with a massive amount of effort involved :p



Dont get me wrong, i love new gear, i just hate the fishing system.
