Kalu'ak Fishing Derby Win

Dident win on my 19, I used my 80.

Found it in the 4th pool.

Only had 10 pygmy suckerfish.

Seartch'd pools from 13:30 to find a good spot.

Ended up at north west coastline of howling fjords.

Found 3 pools quite close to eatchother and then found a 4th in the contest.



EDIT: Was on Dreanor EU.
 
Gz wondering how someone won it so fast. Was reading up that you couldn't win it quick but that seems wrong =/ Was there myself trying it on my warrior >.< gz. Tbh tho you should have got boots and tired tbc enchants on them and if not worked page a gm and swapped.

it was the first documentary of the world

about an eschimo from antartica or something

some dude had a film camera and recorded him hunting and fishing near north pole

and it was a sequence when he cath a seal and feed the dogs with it

he took a small piece of seal meat and throw it to 10 hungry dogs and the dogs killed each others for that small piece of meat

this is how devillzard is doing to you

makes a stupid ring and throw it to you and you fight each others for it

I did the fishing derby on my rogue twink and caught a [item]Blacktip Shark[/item] after 40min (so no winner here). I was able to turn it in on my twink and got a [item]Bag of Fishing Treasures[/item] (no pet, head or fishing pole unfortunately) and I got 150 rep with kalu'ak. I also noticed that after I turned it in I could turn in another [item]Blacktip Shark[/item] and my guess is the reward will again be a fishing bag and 150 rep.



So for all the twink I would say start farming those [item]Blacktip Shark[/item] and get your head, fishing poles, pet, cooking recipes and eventually (if you are very persistant) [item]Nurtured Penguin Egg[/item] and [item]Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole[/item]. In order to get exalted you need 42000rep (you start at 0/3000 neutral) which equals 280 [item]Blacktip Shark[/item]'s if you never win. And every time you win on your twink you can reduce that by 33.3 sharks (if the 5000 rep from a win is correct).

I dont think soo but wasent really paying attention to something like that. Cuase first of, I did make a small victory run alround the house and when I came back it was many wispering me about the contest.

I did fish on my main and those boots are bop and item level 1 ([item]Boots of the Bay[/item])

What I heard was that the chance of geting a [item]Blacktip Shark[/item] incrased with the amount of pygmy suckerfish. But I guess I was lucky too.

The bag of fishing treasures may also have the blue pole in it which is 20 DPS behind the exalted one. Gogo some twink needs to get it.
 
Just putting in my two cents here: if for some chance any of you do get a uber as fuck fishing pole on your twink, don't go around telling everyone and their cousin, or wear it around dal.



Keep it in your bag and don't let it get a level req so we all have a chance to get it, kk? ;)
 
I don't think Blizzard is worried about a twink getting a fishing pole or hat. To get a pygmy out of open water is a 1/10 chance. To get a blackfin shark from one of those has to be at least 1/30. Then you have a 1/50 chance to get a pole or hat from the bag. Odds are not in your favor.



Some alliance on my server won in 7 minutes of it starting and there were tons of people doing it. :(

My server it was won in 6 minutes... Its stupidly busy atm.
