yoo hey guys. let me answer that as I was just talking to some other P2P guilds about this and still have some thoughts fresh in my head
with regards to the gun fight/butter knife thing - Id respond by saying that f2ps arent entering a gun fight with a butter knife, were entering a butter knife fight with a butter knife! since the majority of the bracket is f2p (I'd say it's probably 80%/20% with f2p majority) the best chance for competitive games is being an f2p
There are a lot of f2p realms out there who want to have competitive games. Been queueing 5-10 people on Misha alliance consistenly and Aerie Peak horde and BWL horde do the same. quite a few other f2p realms have the ability to make 5-10 man premades if they see the activity happening, and you could help make that happen
What I would suggest to you if you want to have the most options is to make level 20 p2ps and carry f2p-restricted gear sets to use for everything except other p2p premades. Its very easy to acquire f2p gear on a p2p. Most are just quest items
If you don't know what f2p restrictions are, they include not being able to get past level 20, not being able to use the mailbox or auction house or trades, not being able to carry more than 10 gold (ie no helm/cloak/leg heirlooms) and not being able to get main professions past 100 skill. the biggest effect this has is with enchants. we have access to only very weak enchants compared to p2ps
f2p restrictions actually help make this bracket somewhat balanced and make it so that we cant do more damage than our healthpools can handle at this level. might as well take advantage of that
look up
Wheres my Crutch @ Nazgrel - Community - World of Warcraft - p2p players using f2p restrictions. Also Ursin I believe are ex-19s who play with f2p gear
See you guys in the gulch
