is enhance viable at all?

already started gearing enhance to see that its awful lol

It's not awful - it's fairly low damage relative to other classes, but you have a lot more utility - also your damage increases as you get you better and rarer pieces of gear. It scales with skill/gear very well.

I played a game this morning, and it kind of sucked. When playing enh you have to accept that your role is very limited. You are useful in your ability to hinder the enemy and and offheal. Understand that you could be much more useful playing another class. You can 1v1 some classes, but BG's aren't 1v1 for very long. The biggest problem with enhance is time on target, so try to buddy up with a rogue or a frost mage and take down some healers.

I have never been able to test a enh sham . Nor play it in mop , CATA....
i think there isnt a big ammount of burst but if geared its dmg might becreally good. ETshaman is really good at it , can you do some ptr testing please .... would be awsome, also how mutch does h surge heal for in enh ?

Talking about about ETshaman. His toon, Shamanpow, and mine, Peeppee/Lilila, rocking in WSG in our way.

1. The viability of Enhance is NOT from it's utility or off heals. You get about 3 Healing Surges before you are OOM and worthless. Resto/ele have all the same utility as Enhance. Therefore, if you want utility and off heals, you play Elemental or Resto (Resto counts for half a healer atm).

2. In 5.4, Enhancement doesn't become viable as a DPS until you hit level 26 and get Storm Strike. At level 20 you have zero slow effects, so it becomes difficult to maintain time on target. Outside of that, your strongest ability is Lava Lash, with Primal Strike being absurdly weak (frankly, Blizzard should have removed that PoS ability a long time ago, it's sad to see it still around in WoD). Once you reach level 26, you unlock Stormstrike, and that becomes your new strongest ability, with Lava Lash doing about 40% of the damage of Stormstrike. So when you look at what you have for dps @ 20, you begin to realize just how much weaker Enhance really is compared to just a few levels later.

3. Enhance relies heavily on Flametongue Weapon for damage, even at 29. In 6.0, both Flametongue Weapon and Windfury Weapon are being altered/combined into a passive buff Enhance shaman get @ level 30. This removes a major damage source from all Enhance shamans before level 30, which gimps level 20 Enhance even further. Enhancement is also losing Earth Shock (elemental only), putting it even further behind in WoD.

4. In 6.0, Lava Lash gets buffed considerably, while Storm Strike gets nerfed considerably. My tests have shown numbers around 700 for both Lava Lash and Stormstrike crits. WIthout access to FTW, Enhance feels weak @ 29. Unless something is done about Primal Strike, weapon imbues, and the levels at which enhance gets major tools, then it will be weak in WoD prior to level 30.

Also, I don't know how to say this nicely, but F2Ps are done in WoD.

I've heard good things about enh on the ptr.
And to your statement regarding the state of f2ps next expansion, we'll be fine.

If by 'fine' you mean 'living in the graveyard,' then yes, you will be fine.

If the viability of Enhancement Shaman is not from utility or off heal and I want utility and off heals, I should play Elemental or Resto Shaman... but in this WSG, I, an Enhancement Shaman, got better damage and better off heal than an Elemental Shaman. How could it be?

Difference of player skill? If someone is bad at Ele and playing with someone who is good at enhance, there's going to be a difference in their performance, right? If a good ele shaman is playing he should do way more damage than a good enhance. A difference of 1k dmg could be a number of things, really.

xD I love you. You're like an angry gnome that has to spit and yell to be heard.

Trial accounts are done in WoD. Hahaha. Oh boy. Ok, let's say for a brief moment that you're right. Let's say that F2Ps don't scale to 29 (They do by the way, I've done the tests) - so what? We get one shot now by 24's, we'll continue to play in WoD getting one shot by 29's.

To ever assert that Trial accounts are "done" isn't just wrong, it's also extremely lacking in any form of measurable intelligence.

We've been here since Wrath, honey dumpling. We're not going anywhere.

Take your fantasies elsewhere.

So, 44k dmg is bad for an Elemental Shaman? Is it that are you saying?

LOL! So, there are so many bad Elemental Shaman is that case. :)
