Is damage taken rolled into healing done for healers?

Despite what someone said on here, I don't think it is because I am getting rofl-stromped by a BH pre-made and my healing done is not even going up as i die repeatedly during stuns.

Please give me advice or send help

Damage absorbed and damage taken are two different things.

It's not damage taken its damage absorbed. This is how Shadow healing numbers can be so high https://www.wowhead.com/spell=17/power-word-shield.

Your pally bubble is an immune, it's not going to count toward healing.

how could damage taken be considered healing if your not healing anything.....

The healing done category is either; A) absorptions spells that actually took damage : i.e. if a priest bubbles you and you don't absorb damage from it, it won't count as healing, since its classified as ''over-healing''. The same with warriors ignore pain.
and B) Literally healing a target with missing health

Maybe I don't get your point here but how would taking damage be indicated on the healing done meter? Most dps meters will have a damage taken section or a death section to see how quickly you died and from which spells instead of reading the combat log.

i think damage taken is as much of a skill indicator as damage done.

And I think increasing my haste to lower my GCD so I can chug alchemist flasks faster is skillful too, doesn't mean either of us are right.
